The gulf states have been hurt by this more than others and have been generally solid business partners. When this is over its highly likely that they will play a pivotal role in reshaping the region to be more US friendly, so abandoning them is a poor idea. Its important to ensure that any sacrifices they make are not without reward, and that we show that loyal allies arent left out to dry.
I agree with this but the problem currently is the rest of the world holding the US back. They are being told to open the straight but play by rules in which asymmetrical drone warfare is allowed to continue. The US can take and keep territory for good and use it to make profit years from now. They can authorize their allied nations to take Iranian territory and even arm them to do this. They could even completely glass Iran which would instantly reopen the straight and leave its oil unharmed for later harvesting.

The US is playing nice currently and allowing Iran to continue to sell oil. I suspect Trump asking for help is a precursor to blowing up khrag island or taking it over.

War games are played where you handicap your team and turn on unlimited ammo for the opponents so that you can stress test your shit and see where it breaks. If you "win" your war games you are fucking up.

Has there ever been signaling from Israel to begin with about the plight of Iranian protesters in the past several months and the notion of the Islamic Republic being overthrown by them? This could also be the IDF being just as ambiguous about using the phrase "regime change" as much as the US military has been, despite Trump's regular messaging to the Iranian people.

I assume you're talking about the wargame where a (iirc) USMC general used fast boats to take out a carrier group by loading them with so much explosives and tech that they'd have sunk from the added weight and the carrier group was forced to run effectively blind. Using US wargames as an accurate measure of our capabilities is incredibly retarded, we intentionally gimp our forces to test absolutely worst case scenarios.
I fully believe that the US is dominating in this situation, but at the same time the enemy hasn't actually been defeated and it's basically Vietnam.

This could go on for years and with all the might and power of the US army as well as Israel and Mossad they haven't actually defeated the Iranians and instead basically made the Pokemon evolve into drone warfare

So in this case having subs and carriers and excellent logistics isn't really doing anything - the US army can't even effectively control a tiny bit of ocean between Iran and the UAE. The US is and Iran is tiny.

The gulf states aren't a part of the problem so its important to take care of them. They are economic allies, not military powers, who are in a difficult position geographically. If the gulf states are left without help is lowers the reliability of America as an ally while also failing to achieve our goals. With a proper US victory, they are better off, and we can show how solid allies are well rewarded by the US at little to no additional cost.

The administration isn't giving me exact time frames, troop dispositions, or even a list of tactical objectives. It's basically Vietnam.

Perhaps there is something to the eternal Anglo..

Van Riper played his game correctly but it's not translatable to real life. Iran has invested a ton into suicide speedboats with antiship missiles that did actually fit and they've been able to do nothing with them
Sometimes I wonder if these wargames are to fuck with the countries we’re potentially going to war with.

Once again because it has to be said: the germs and frogs are not our friends and have worked against us for a long time.
jerry and pierre live on borrowed time. they'll get theirs. they do this shit constantly. remember trump's first term where he told them to stop relying so much on russian fuel and then the russia-ukraine war kicked off and europe got crunched?

now he was telling them that they needed to participate in the shit that they were involved in whether they like it or not. as many of us believed, this was a test to see who might actually come to do some shit. we don't NEED them, but it is their own oil they're choosing not to protect. if the frogs and krauts want to play this game, that's perfectly fine with me. american blood need not be spilled for any of these faggots, ever. they've made the beds that will one day consume them, their favorite islamist fleas included. now, i say, let them lie in it.

It's just schizo theories of the higher Brass being put into practice in the worst case scenario.
I guess our enemies view our war games as valid doctrinal practices to adopt and it just puts them in a major disadvantage since we also pour a retarded amount of time and money to make sure that those scenarios can't happen.

I once did some work on a wedding of an iranian guy who was getting married. He was part of some shipping company family. They were beyond loaded and fucking stupidly rich. Literally no expense spared.

I've also met other arab/persian people who work in the diesel industry and trade it. They told me that dirty diesel and stuff gets swapped out all the time and the industry is fucking nuts.

The oil and gas industry and the other industries behind it (shipping, maritime shit, insurance, surveying) is a huge industry and a fucking giant amount of money flowing around. These ships sometimes carry $100m or more worth of cargo and if the insurance company says no then they can't move at all.

The amount of money involved in all of this in these industries that aren't very visible to a layperson is staggering. It's basically something like a stock market - think NASDAQ but the world's shipping industry and all of the insurance shit.

The US is removing the Arabian peninsula's biggest geopolitical problem for them. They're all just fine with all of this, at the end of the day the military capability of their biggest problem is going to be at Costa Rica level

tl;dr: The OpFor commander was more interested in trying to break the wargame's rules than helping them simulate an invasion out of personal vendetta.
not even a bad thing to have happening if you have an intelligent commander reading the reports later. it allows you to plan for weird "what the fuck" scenarios you might never have thought of.

floyd died SIX YEARS AGO. why are they even trying this? nobody gives a fuck about saint floyd of fentanyl anymore.

What has NATO got to do with America and Israel attacking Iran?
What has the US got to do with Russia attacking Ukraine? What did the US have to do with a rebellion in Libya 15 years ago, when France and Britain strongarmed Barack Obama into joining them bombing the Gaddafi government? Europe always wants to take but they don't want to give
