A 'well deck' is a large hovercraft and boat bay most of our amphibious assault ships have (ie all wasp class and formerly tarawa)

I don't think Israel or Iran ever want the rest of the world pulling out of their bombed-out shithole. That would leave them squabbling over a small amount of resources in a desert everybody else was smart enough to wander out of. Trump wants to solve a problem (or I guess solve 1% of it so he can say he solved 100%) which means Iran and Israel are figuring out new ways to make sure America is in the region for another round of forever war.

I don't think he believes in new-age nonsense. Trump is the hype president. He's the Art of the Deal guy. I think he relentlessly puts out positive news, because he's constantly playing mind games and creating PR spin. It's a tactic. He wants to control the public perception of whatever deal he's involved in at the moment, so that conditions are more favorable for whatever outcome he favors.
