Shithole indy promotion run by faggot grifter Al Snow, OVW, is in hot water after a botch caused a referee to have a seizure. They proceeded to PUSH HIM OUT OF THE WAY to continue their shit match as the ref continues to convulse. OVW issued a response, with locked replies, as Al Snow continues to say nothing.

The family of the referee has confirmed he is conscious in the hospital, but did suffer a legitimate brain injury.
I get wanting to keep kayfabe, even if it's long dead. But is it so hard for the face to quickly throw the heel out of the ring so the ref could get help? How many people in the business sell like that on a regular basis? It was really obvious something was wrong and these mudshow clowns didn't even try. They had to get their shit in.

Doesn't Cornette own OVW? Or he used to?

Why the hell are they blurring stuff? Likeness rights?
1.) Yes
2.) Ted is currently looking at federal prison time for fraud so he’s probably happy to try and sue rn.
Thread tourist here, I'm gonna powerlevel... So I have epilepsy and have had grand mal seizures like that. It always really freaks me out to see a seizure happening. It makes me wonder if that's how I looked to others.
To see that guy being treated that way... I can't put into words how disturbing this video is!
I physically could not imagine the struggle of having a traumatic seizure while some faggot getting paid $75 kicks you to the side.
Hope every wrestler involved in that gets canned, blacklisted, or hangs themselves.

This is the kinda dirtball shit that gives the entire business a bad name.

Those idiot wrestlers in the ring are probably being paid in ham sammiches and even then they are clearly overpaid.

This is one of those things where you rape them with a lawsuit. Like rape their entire operation to death for damages.

Like what the fuck is your goddamn malfunction when your event is legitimately more dangerous to your refs than early era UFC?

Some people have NO IDEA how much good will AEW burned when they said "Sports based presentation".
Power level, feel free to rate, but I genuinely found my friends and family that watched Wrestling in the 80s/90s and bought the first PPV.
I cooked a spread like it was the super bowl.
It was one the most burned/embarassing get togethers I ever had. But at least we were close enough that we could all laugh and I could hand out beers and apologize.
I watched that first battle royale live on YT, and it took months before I gave it a fair chance again. "Serious, sports-based presentation" were the words in my head during those months.

The Nepo-Baby could've just said, "I want to combine WCW, ROH, and Chikara," and we all would've gotten it. Some of us would've even been pumped for it.

Anyways, here's Cornette's reaction to the first match in AEW history; there used to be a video with the commentary, but that was taken down by that horse-faced referee back when she was striking channels on behalf of the Nepo-Baby (before she was outed).

woah let me guess, he hates modern thing and bitches for juuuuuuuuuuust long enough to get commoditized?
Actually I think he brings up good points in the context of advertising "serious, sports-based presentation," although he does turn into a befuddled old man when trying to express his thoughts on the one-legged guy and that one black non-binary wrestler (who both sucked and were glorified sideshows/virtue signal hires).

the one-legged guy
which one? iirc there's Zach Gowen / Tenacious Z, the one who was in WWE who had the full-on removable leg, he just sorta hops and sucks, especially for never walloping the fuck out of his opponents with his fake leg and being all "lol eat ADA can't DQ me"
and then there was a guy in Impact out of Team 3d's School (I think) who had a robot leg from the knee down because it got blown up in iraqastan
I recall he was a cromulent mid-to-low card guy and could run the ropes fine

Actually I was wrong, it was Dustin Thomas, a no-legged guy.

For anyone unfamiliar with OVW's current situation, there's a great documentary Netflix produced called "Wrestlers". It's worth seeking out and gives good insight into how delusional Al Snow can be. The most breakout star we got from it was Hailey J and while I'm not personally a fan of women's wrestling, she's probably the most endearing women's wrestler around today and I make it a point to watch her stuff if she's on a show. Shera from TNA is a big focus too.

I can believe that the wrestlers probably thought he was selling or something at first and went back to being focused on the match, but somebody should've questioned it more when the guy kept glitching out. One guy did seem to notice but didn't question it too hard. The wrestler who kicked him out of the way like garbage should've stopped when the ref stayed stiff/did not react.

And why the fuck did it take so long for somebody else to get in there and check on him? Surely we don't expect things like this to be solely the wrestlers' responsibility...

I have to say that i'm legit surprised that WWE seems to have gotten Danhausens vibe down 100%. He's only been there a couple of weeks and is over as fuck.

I hated him when I first saw him in AEW, but then learned more about him and hated him a lot less.

WWE's debut of him was bad, obviously. Really bad. But since then, they've used him perfectly and he's gotten over. Hell, I am now a certified fanhausen. Dude is fucking hilarious and as long as they don't have him be competitive with bigger guys in matches and use him sparingly like they have, he's gonna be over as hell
