This is why flippy shit needs to end. The smallest fuck up like this and someone is in a wheelchair. No one even cares any more, there's no pop for jumping around like this. It's over exposed, it's boring and it's dangerous. So lets go back to wrestling and stop before Droz becomes the default ending to every wrestler's career.

One other cash-grab they added is the Prestige system to the Island:
You use VC to increase your character's stats. You can earn it through matches, but the payouts are so small (150 VC per win, 75 VC per loss) that it's easier to bust out the credit card. Once you reach the thresholds (85, 90, 95, 100), you can Prestige your character, which will lower your characters OVR by 10 and you have to level it up again, and no, you DO NOT get back the VC that you used to level the character up originally. In this case, the Prestige at 85 will reduce your OVR to 75, and repeat for the other thresholds. The other big deal is that the Prestige option DOES NOT MENTION that your character's OVR will be reduced, which can catch people off guard if they haven't played a game with a Prestige system like Call of Duty.
It's very similar to how NBA2K incentives people to whale with MyCareer, as you use VC to raise your player's stats in the same manner. NBA2K hasn't added Prestiging yet, which makes some people think that they're using WWE2K as a testing ground before implementing it into NBA2K in the future.
And that's in addition to the numerous cosmetics that can be purchased from the Island, i.e. branded gear and hairstyles. Each hairstyle costs 9000 or 12000 VC, EACH. And most of the clothing purchasable from the Island, i.e. Jordan shoes, CANNOT be edited.

I wish we got to see a little more of the before, I am baffled that the referee threw his entire body out there to try to stop someone doing a jump like that. I thought the general point of a ref was to stay out of the immediate action and use whistles/hand signals to make judgment calls, not try to play hero and get sandwiched...
Really hope this wasn't a life-ruining mistake and that he can make a good recovery

The red head at least tried to the right thing and checked on him but those other 2 utter morons trying to keep the match going are truly despicable. If you stick to the script so hard you can't stop when someone is literally convulsing you should just quit.

I'm seriously asking, as in, is there even an alternative that is still KAFABE, but at LEAST has fucking RULES they abide by?!?!?
It might sound insane, but there is a huge audience that still exists for worked, but rules/semi-believable wrestling.
Some people have NO IDEA how much good will AEW burned when they said "Sports based presentation".
Power level, feel free to rate, but I genuinely found my friends and family that watched Wrestling in the 80s/90s and bought the first PPV.
I cooked a spread like it was the super bowl.
It was one the most burned/embarassing get togethers I ever had. But at least we were close enough that we could all laugh and I could hand out beers and apologize.

Thread tourist here, I'm gonna powerlevel... So I have epilepsy and have had grand mal seizures like that. It always really freaks me out to see a seizure happening. It makes me wonder if that's how I looked to others.
