CENTCOM posted a notice earlier in the day warning civilians to avoid ports along the Strait, as they're being used by Iran to launch strikes, so it can be assumed they're gonna start getting hit big time.

I mean Trump completely lied about NOT starting or being involved in any new wars for his second term, but here we are, the point is not that Iran's regime is an innocent party being bullied by the West, its more like it seems everything we do in the Middle East benefits Israel much more than us.

That said, I personally see no reason to be completely anti-war until gas prices are through the roof. (i.e: it actually affects me personally)

Keeping it real with you all. US Navy procurement fucked up.

First they fucked up the LCS, a ship specifically designed for the strait mission. Then they fucked up the Constellation frigate, which would be very useful in large numbers for this situation. They only tools the Navy has available to mine clear is a Burke destroyer, and I think there's only 8 in the Lincoln Strike Group. That's not enough for an escort mission and using them would leave the carrier potentially vulnerable and is total overkill for a 10k ton destroyer. Air power might help the strait situation, but that's temporary. Iranians can wait the carrier deployments out and rebuild their cheapo blockade.

If I were to guess, the Pentagon would be looking for pressure points in other places around Iran to negotiate the opening. I don't know what the counterplay there would be. Your ideas are as good as mine.

Interesting. You can see the IR laser designator flicker from the drone targeting the plane. The angle of the US munition looks like its directly above. This could be an exampled of US networked weapons. The drone confirms the target and either relays the info to the bomber or the mutation itself. In this way, the drone is a disposable set of eyes allowing USAF bombers the ability to stay high.

Either that or its all the drone doing the targeting and bombing, but those munitions look more like big JDAMs to me.

how did they fuck up the LCS I've seen like 2 posts on this but not sure what it's referring to.
I just saw something the other day saying we have at least one of them in the region

*3 of them operating out of Bahrain -USS Canberra, Santa Barbara and Tulsa
This is right next to the strait

The Canberra specifically is fitted with a mine countermeasure package and seems like its in the region specifically for that purpose

How did you quote CTR but it says you're quoting my post? CTR is several cubicles down from me in Mossad HQ so it's understandable. And yes, all of the top posters in this thread are Mossad agents. tl;dw The Navy saw they needed a ship that was small, cheap and be able to be mass produced, with tasks of mine clearing and ASW in littoral spaces, to precicely avoid overtasking the main surface combatants. But the shipyards, instead of sticking with the main goals of what the mission neeeded, wanted to create a space-age boat, with immature and unreliable technology due to requirement creep. Costs ballooned to an eye-watering level, everyone gave up was like "eh, we'll just keep using big Burkes".

Usually happens when you add multiple quotes to a post and then try to delete one of them without enabling the bbcode toggle, because of how the quote tags are handled.

I think I screwed up with the quote. I had two quotes and then I delated one for some reason and that screwed it up.

War is terrible and every death is a great loss but... this war (wait, what are we calling it now, a "small excursion?" lol) is almost worth is just for all the kino shit we get to see like B1s getting jdams or UNCLAS video of JDAMs hitting Iranian assets after they get lit up by a targeting laser
