It's absolutely hilarious that Iran's only piece of leverage in this entire ordeal was the straight of hormuz being shutdown, and that didn't even last a few days.

so been doing some poking around on martine traffic to find evidence of spoofing and I found some really blatant examples, dont know what side is responsible

BTW its not just rare for the AIS data to mess up like this, ITS DANGEROUS, sure this is a civillian tool im using but the same data is whats reported to other ships and radar stations for real world navigation, this kind of spoofing makes navigation dangerous beacuse you need visual confirmation to know whats real and whats a error.

this next one is REALLY bad and smack in the middle of the only tranist path for large tankers

so you can see there is 2 HUGE spoof piles on both sides of the strait, im not sure what to make of it but wanted to report it, Sal of Whats going on with shipping has confirmed this is infact spoofing and there is never a reality where that many large ships would EVER be that close to eachother even if they were going to dock near one another they would keep up to a mile gap for a whole host of reasons but mostly saftey.

Well, that and that people thought their ballistic missiles and proxy Hezbollah supersoldiers were a much greater threat than they've turned out to be.

There can be no greater self own than if they go through with this at this stage, there can be no "well they're letting Chinese ships pass" if they mine the straight Chinese ships don't magically bypass mines. they will only ensure that they actually make an enemy of China too in this case.

Assuming they can pull it off, this would effectively block all Chinese oil shipments too.

I actually am gonna lean towards ‘no’ on them doing it because this would actually fuck China’s ass. They’re already juggling multiple economic headaches on top of rampant spending and an oil crisis would make things pure agony. They might actually pull Iran into the meeting room to scream.

This also deprives the regime of its biggest source of income. It’s basically a scorched earth attack that hurts your friend more than your enemy.

But at the same time they’re religious extremists, guess we’ll find out lol.

They're either bluffing to save their izzat, or they're even stupider than predicted. Attempting to scare Trump into ending things by mining the Strait will only succeed in convincing everyone other than Europeans that they can never be allowed to keep control of the region to do something like this again.
China and Russia would give Trump the green light to do whatever he wants just to make them stop.
