Is there shipping through the Strait yet? Have Iranian drone strikes stopped yet? And even once those points are reached, it remains to be seen how badly Iran has degraded logistics facilities and terminals in the Gulf nations they’ve been striking. The economic fallout for this will continue for months.

Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were gigantic intelligence failures that required several dozen different warnings from different sources and stations, from every branch to be ignored time and time again until the last hours before they happened.

There's no excuse, there's no level of incompetence on this level that can be justified, thus the conspiracy theories.
The result is the same either way, several thousand dead Americans and a war that lasted years, with America's adversaries (USSR, China falling to communism, in ww2, Iran, Russia, China strengthened, American popularity severely weakened due to Iraq, Afghanistan's 20 year disaster, rise of ISIS and Al Qaeda).
Either it was planned this way from the start, or the American institutions were deliberately sabotaged; warnings casually filed away on desk drawers, people dismissed and fired for warning and trying to bypass the chain of command, because someone looked at the coming storm and thought it was the perfect opportunity to start to sell raincoats.
And Stalin missed out on Barbarossa because he stubbornly refused to change his mind that he could trust Hitler. This is all hindsight skewing things. If the Roosevelt administration *knew* Pearl Harbor was coming, it could have had land based air ready and carriers prepositioned to ream the 1st Air Fleet after its planes were too far away to come back quickly. Then you as FDR get to reeeee that Japan tried to sucker punch us but we big stronk Murica, we beat the shit out of them, and now we're going to keep beating the shit out of them. It's all silly

Yeah.

No.

The issue with hunting ships is that any radar or other EM emissions from Iranian launchers will result in a missile within 10 minutes, so ships can pass by just turning their transponders off.

Iranian strike dosent even leave dent in stronk Jewish road

goyish construction could never do such work
Are jews truly the german engineers of the middle east
Honestly, the US controlling the shipping route feels about right
At the end of the day we have a huge navy for one reason. We keep the freedom of navigation on the seas around. The US is very good at keeping the seas open and clear the only nation who came close was the soviet union.
מחנה רחבעם (Camp Rehavam) in Ramle is only a couple hundred meters (basically across the street) from a residential area. pretty fucked up of the Israelis to use kindergartners as human shields like that.
I know man its just as bad as hezbollah and hamas doing the same thing in Gaza oh wait.

The only thing consistent about Tucker in his career is inconsistency. He plays whichever role and adopts whichever politics he thinks will further his career the most at any given time. He's been a gentlemanly weenie and a bold and brash jerk, the guy was a chameleon playing a character for various networks.
All I know is that people were raving about Tucker's podcast during that initial wave of MAGA-triumph a year ago, so I decided to give him a listen. On one show he claimed that he lives like an isolated hermit who doesn't listen to any media. On some other show he was talking about how he believes there are spaceships which are actually angels. He also mentioned that he used to be an alcoholic.

Maybe he's a cynical opportunist, or maybe he's just a brain-fried nutcase?

Iran attacked countries who didn't even involve themselves in the affairs like Azerbaijan. If anything this war has really made israel less of a pariah state in the region to to Iranian stupidity.
Again the Iranians attacked neutral and even some of its allies this war.
The winners of the war are Israel here as this is going to push normalization and convince people to say we don't care about Gaza. Meanwhile at home Iranian propaganda and influence networks are pushing disinformation in both left and right wing spheres to cause a revolution in the US.
This, even if their government doesn't collapse: america stops attacking by tomorrow:
  • IRGC becomes the actual power in Iran, which is terrible for their government long term, since it they will be puppeted by warlords, even their religious mullahs will have no actual power
  • Iranian industry is destroyed, their airline industry is destroyed, Oil industry damaged to the levels of the iran-iraq war, ports and shipyards attacked and damaged, etc
  • Iran has pissed off everyone, even China is displeased greatly since their oil supply was threatened, people who in good faith negotiated to help them like Qatar, UAE, Saudis who had in 2023 buried the hatched with Iran, were bombed and attacked and had innocent citizens killed, Dubai was greatly damaged in it's reputation as a safe global financial and shipping hub, this is a trillion dollar problem for the UAE now and i bet the sheikhs aren't happy
  • Pakistan has a border with Iran and a defense pact with saudi arabia that can be activated any time, they also gave them ballistic missiles and allegedly saudi arabia financed their nuclear program in exchange for buying the nukes off the shelf if the situation demands it.
  • Everyone and their mother will build oil routes to ports in the red sea or through turkey and Syria to ship oil through the Mediterranean now
  • Even more sanctions and less good will amongst neighbors to ship goods and services to iran, in a country with a severe food inflation, drought and a completely worthless currency, with hundreds of police stations and secret police headquarters destroyed, that means no centralized CCTV, files on protesters, evidence for sham public trials, etc, good luck containing a mass protest like earlier this year without all of this

I'm sure you've seen the chart showing how Iranian missile and drone launches are down like 90% for missiles and like 95% for drones from their peak on days 1 and 2 of the war. Shipping sure looks like it's about to call Iran's bluff on the Strait. The next 48 hours will probably tell the tale there. Damage to logistics facilities and port terminals has shown no signs of being significant. You're copecabanaing hard here. The vibe didn't shift from WTI going ~$91 Sunday afternoon to ~$119 in the middle of Sunday-Monday night, then bottoming out at ~$84 (currently at ~$89) once Western markets opened Monday morning for no reason. The people with skin in the game, to the tune of many billions of dollars, are currently believing Iran can't close the Strait

I think the main thing right now is more that the Strait being closed doesn’t really help Iran. Sure you’ll have people blame America for it, but at some point if it’s impassable rather than semi-permeable it just hurts Iran. China and most of Asia can’t get shit if Iran is sperging out and randomly attacking ships like the Houthis did.

There’s a big issue with showing your hand like this. It justifies American aggression because if it works than they will do it again, so Americans have to fucking slap them down and kick their teeth in or gut the lot of them.

They did this shit with the Houthis and it basically is going after their sugar daddy this time. International shipping can’t deal with some uppity Muslims bombing shit.

The justification for attacks Iran is multifaceted if you look at it from preventing nukes, preventing a normalization of piracy/ shipping lane fuckery, and general ensuring Israel doesn’t throw a colossal shitfit.

I bailed completely on Tucker when the ukraine war started. Dude went completely off into loony town and it looks like he has only got worse since.
Tucker seems to have fallen into that boomer trap of finding out that The Powers That Be lie, so instead of approaching things with a more critical eye he falls for every contrarian brownoidslop 'news' out there instead.

America, you really twist yourself into knots running interference for America's enemies and trying to imagine scenarios where they manage to beat America. Really curious.
Maybe he’s a state department. Guy trying to psyop us into spending even more money on the military… probably not probably just another brown (worshiping) faggot.

Honestly, this seems more and more like late WW2 where USAAF pilots strafed carts with refugees and ambulances and then claimed they were tiger tanks and half tracks in their reports to boost their reputations and meet target quotas.

I mean Tehran is already new Delhi now.
Their navy sunk, air force and airlines all thrashed, oil depots destroyed, most police stations and secret police headquarters destroyed, most missile bunkers buried up, etc.

I would be surprised if this shit formally ends next week.
The fog of war is super thick at the current moment but what i can see here is this.
Drones have been a big game changer especially medium sized drones that can fit in the back of the truck but pack enough explosives to severely damage an oil tanker.
What I have seen is Iran's ballistic missile capability has been severely degraded.
Their medium drone capability so far hasn't but the US has used copies of their shahead drone to get into the game and even do it for a bit cheaper than the Iranians using almost all domestic sourcing. Granted it won't be a game changer but the US is definitely good at the drone warfare game.

thankfully iraqis captured a LUCAS unit
Some Iraqi family is about to strip all the tech out of it so their family PC can have better Ram for Counter strike campaigns and HOI4 campaigns.
Again I hope these drones get cannibalized and made into PCs or PC parts.
Someone mentioned where are the protests against attacking Iran wait til Cuba drops communism you will see a massive chimp out and that’s next. You will see many on the left explode in real anger at Cuba falling than Muslim threats.
If cubas regime falls i could see leftists in the US trying to fight Hispanic people and Cubans and getting their shit kicked in by some Cuban kids who love being Cuban.
Tucker Carlson claims that the US taking military action against Iran after repeatedly telling the adversary "end your nuclear ambition or we will fuck your shit up" (which Iran refuses to do every time) amounts to a dishonorable, punishable sneak attack in the vein of Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.
Nathan Livingstone (MilkBarTV) - Tucker Carlson says that if the U.S. lulled Iran into a false...mp4

I've been listening to Tucker's podcast since the war started, and boy is he a disingenuous loon.
I like Tucker Carlson but at the end of the day hes fallen into the trap and found his niche that he makes money from.
He has found his spot in the alt right grift space that usally is less factual at times.

I don't like the hardcore zionists but I know enough to know that most of these countires issues are caused by their leadership and their corruption. Again Quatar doesn't spend all of its time seething about jews its moved on and done well.
Exactly. There's plenty to be skeptical of with the Israel lobby and the past couple centuries of tensions with jews in Europe, but i cant buy this shit where we act like theyre secret vampires with sneaky designs on the world. Theres something pernicious about being from the anglosphere and pinning global jewry with accusations of being materialistic and transactional. The Muslim world is a fucking disaster all on its own. Theres nothing spiritual about rebelling against a material age by being a filthy moralizing liar. Everything irritating about jews is pretty much out in the open. Frankly their extremists could use a little more tact, but these antiquated Muslim regimes are a nightmare. All of this corruption and lying cloaked in pretenses of religion. It's not about them having to be more like us. They can be any fucking thing they want to out there, but they need to be serious countries. Good on our friends out there. It really seems like theyre trying to get by in the new century.

This is the first time he's had actual 'free rein' and he's financially set for life
Tucker has always been financially set for life. He's a blue blood.
His step mother growing up was heir to the Swanson family fortune (as in Swanson frozen dinners).
His real mother (Lisa McNear) was a San Francisco socialite who had tons of money from west coast real estate empires.
Famously, she left Tucker and his Brother with nothing, but they were able to sue the estate and get millions from it.
Meanwhile, his father ran Voice of America and also the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

tldr everyone in his family is more or less american royalty/titans of industry
he has never wanted for anything in his entire life.
he grew up a millionaire/billionaire and could have done absolutely nothing and still been set for life.

At the end of the day I have to remind Wheraboos who insist mein furher was a military genius that he was a delusional man who got his nation into wars they logistically could not win because he was convinced of Aryan German superiority.
His logistics were stuck in the late 1800s, Germany had to rely on stealing other nations trucks, wagons, firetrucks, and cars to transport troops and goods.
In fact the logistics were reslly bad for Germany and Japan post 1942 as their logistics started falling apart after those crucial years while US and its allies logistics hardened and became good enough that the US could transport luxury goods to its troops and even the soviets if they wanted to.
The only time the Germans have ever been good at logistics is when they copied the USA's notes on railway transportation during the Civil War and then implemented them to great success in the Franco-Prussian War which was oh, dear, that was the mid-late 1800's, wasn't it? Its funny how everyone talks about German logistics being amazing during that war as if its some historic military feat but the USA organizing a rail-sea-river-telegraph transportation and communications network across an area the size of France to ensure multiple 100k armies have everything they need before they need it and so their generals can coordinate their campaigns in near-real-time is just meh.

His father was also a true believer in the Zionist cause. Which makes Tuckers qatar dick sucking so odd.

The germans were pretty good in the first world war realiticslly until the final 2 years logistics were pretty okay for the germans but the british blockade over Germany caused famine in Germany.

His logistics were stuck in the late 1800s, Germany had to rely on stealing other nations trucks, wagons, firetrucks, and cars to transport troops and goods.
And yet the germans invented the best gasoline container in history, so good the Europoors still use it and even today everyone puts semi-swastikas on the side just in case they actually served a useful purpose because literally every part of a Jerrycan serves a purpose and nobody wants to risk changing the design.

There is one thing I will give Hitler credit for and its making sure Germany was prepared for the impact of a second blockade.

Now, granted, everyone in occupied Europe wound up paying the price as their food was confiscated but hey, this time around the Germans ate no worse than the English did.
