He would stay at the church of his arresting officer simply because in his mind, he thinks the deputy is uncomfortable. Nick probably thinks it's funny that the deputy doesn't want his kids around Nick.

I wonder if April Imholte needs to be added to this list. As Aaron first told the polycule origin story, it began with the two women sexually. @StarTrak noted some time ago, Kayla is bisexual. I suspect that Kayla wanted the girlfriend equal to if not more than Nick and perhaps April wouldn’t commit to regular girl on girl stuff and only wanted attention to and from Nick. I imagine jealousy took over but not only for the most obvious reasons, but also because Kayla wasn’t getting what she wanted out of April in the relationship.
