I like cats because they are both evil and affectionate. A funny quirk of nature to have both of these residing at once in the same vessel.

A dog thinks “my owner loves me because I am his dog.”

A cat thinks “I like you, and you are mine now.”

There are various reasons, such as anxiety/boredom, or emulating predatory behavior for entertainment. The more alarming one would be an older cat who needs dental work done.
 
My neighbor has a very large outdoor cat who frequently tries to get in my house and occasionally does to eat my cats food and scare the shit out of her. I believe she has some kind of brain damage because her head is small and she has zero precautions about any person. She runs right up to me and strangers having not seen me all winter and has zero interest in ever sniffing me when I offer. Just rushes for pets and begs for treats from everyone.

I had a cat like that who ended up passing of breast cancer. She was smart and strong as fuck so she could knock down sliding doors off their tracks and brute force open older hinged doors. Miss you forever, Patches. 2010-2019.

Dogs are cute too man, I don't think anyone here hates them. I do hate the way their owners treat them, though. Especially working dogs. Leaving Mr Muchums the Corso locked in a studio apartment while you shop at Whole Foods is foul. He needs to be on a farm protecting caddle from coyotes or some shit.

All animals are cute. Cats are my favorite, but i love dogs too. I've had many pets. Cats, dogs, cockatiels, hamsters, ducks, chickens, geese, turtles... They're all cute
