If he uses a paypal debit card to buy the plane tickets and then fucked up and missed the flight he has to wait days for the the refunds to clear. That locks up his balance. And he probably doesn't have enough money to cover a 2nd set of plane tickets while the refund for the 1st set are pending.

If you get a hotel on a debit card you loose access to big chunks of cash on it because they put a big hold on the card for the room and incidentals. Like 250-350 a night. If you don't have enough of a balance to cover the hold then they decline the card. And even if you don't have any incidentals you still have to wait days for the hold to clear.
Most normal white people never see these "holds" or even know they exist because they use credit cards to travel.

O'hare is an international hub so my guess is it's the closest place near her he can afford since he can't get to WI on his 3rd world mexican airline.

Its now Saturday. This broke ass bitch has to spend DAYS just hanging out in airport terminals to make it to one of the simplest places in the USA to get to. Chicago O'hare is a major hub and has direct flights from everywhere.
