Light sweet needs a lot less work. Most refineries literally have a network for most hydrocarbon mixes. You can actually retrofit smaller refineries to process sweet crude fairly easily. You can process a sour crude plant for sweet, it’s not perfect but you’ll be producing product. You can’t do the reverse..
