The likely theory is that the IRGC had a bunch of compartmentalized "if you don't hear from me, hit XYZ" targets which included Iran's Sunni Gulf State enemies.

When the opening strike came and it was US and Israeli only, they acted on the standing compartmentalized order and not the overall assessment of the situation.

So the US and Israel worry about pro-Iran 'Shia' groups, the Iranians worry about anti-Iranian Sunni groups and the odd "I'm Shia but I'm also Arab and I hate Persians more than I hate Sunnis"

Iraq is nominally neutral, politically slightly pro Iran but functionally a free-for-all.

I would also keep in mind that the Iranian government/army/leadership has always been heavily compromised by Israeli intellligence and there are probably double agents all over the place - that's how so many of their attacks are so direct and successful.
 
Woke up today to my retard polisci major friend messaging me about how we bombed Iran and are basically at war now. He did this same shit when we bombed their bunker and they symbolically attacked that base in Doha then bitched at me and called me a retarded trooster for saying there will be no invasion or war. I expect him to act the same way this time.

Update on the Israeli side, Iranians are being Niggers and rather than just send a ton of rockets send a barrage one at a time so I barely get time to return home before going to the shelter again. So far seemingly no one died.
