The Section 232 tariffs have been in effect for a long time, so whatever investigation was done, was done a long time ago.

If I’m buying a $50 guitar pedal on Amazon and it’s $55 because of tariffs, that’s hardly the end of the world. Or, more likely, the vendor eating 5 bucks isn’t the end of the world, because I haven’t generally seen a price increase in Asian made guitar gadgets over the past year.

I think a small increase in luxury items is worth having a generally more prosperous society. Prosperity is security, the well fed rarely become bandits out of sheer boredom or opportunity.
