the only route to Winnamucca requires transfers in LA, Sacromento, and Reno
He could walk it in six days or cycle it in two (per Google Maps). Cycling it sounds like fun. Greyhound does not. Especially at that price.

I wonder if he applies for gas vouchers like “Evangelist” “Reverend” “Doctor” Robert L. McKim Jr. does.

I-80 has been closed in both directions for some time now, and no estimate on when it will re-open.
What relavence does that have? Those tickets have I-80 as the route where it's currently closed due to snow (Sacromento-Reno), Greyhound simply doesn't route their tickets from LV to Winnemucca through Salt Lake City for some reason.

That's the point, 80 is closed.

I thought Greyhound was cheap. Over $300 for an in-state bus trip? Pretty sure you used to be able to travel coast to coast for less than that — especially going non-refundable.

Greyhound is "cheap" compared to other modes of travel, like Amtrak or airfare. And it services areas that aren't serviced by airlines or passenger rail. But travel of any kind in the US isn't "cheap", because the US is mostly set up around private car ownership. Driving yourself someplace is often times the most affordable mode of travel, but it can be time consuming if it's a long trip.

It's more a thing for the few places that don't have a regional airport and people that can't fly(aka one step below the worst people you see at the airport)

Are we sure Russ' birth family isn't of the tribe, because that hand-written note is as close to the meme as I've ever seen in real life. "I promise to pay $1,600 on 1/9, but since that's a Friday, I promise I'll pay on Monday. But oy-vey! Monday is one week from MLK Day, so I guess I'll get it to you on the 26th. I promise I'll get your $800 on February 2nd." :story:

False.
What’s more, Greyhound was always the prime example of beyond cheap domestic travel. As a young adult, friends and I would take it from Chicago to NY and back (and similarly long trips) when last minute flights were like $1200 but we really wanted to go to a certain party or friend’s wedding. Greyhound was always around $100-150 regardless of the trip. In-state trip being over $300? Shit has changed (including that Greyhound stations have been sold off and now the stops are mostly patches of dirt on the side of the road with no shelter or security).

One of the few fun parts of traveling by Greyhound with friends was the epic people-watching and commentary. Even with a clientele that is among the most devalued on the planet, Russ would still be a new horror for Greyhound passengers. I would not be surprised at all to learn that he’s banned from the entire network.

Russ would be one of the guys sitting next to down-on-their-luck women propositioning them for paid sex.

It looks like it still is. I checked a few one way routes between in-state cities in NY, CA, FL, TX, IL, CO, WY, etc. Almost all of them were under $100, many under $50. The only time it went above $100 was for smaller towns, because it got routed out-of-state. For example, if Cobes wanted to get home to Casper from the Jackson airport, he'd have to go through Idaho and Montana:

It would be very funny if Greer was spending hundreds of dollars on Greyhound because he didn't check the routes. It would also explain why he complained in emails that it was too hard to drive into town to collect signatures. But I think the Winnemucca adventure happened while he still had his car.

Probably ubering because god forbid poor wittle Greer has to walk in the Mojave heat.

Here's the trip to Walmart

Here's the cost for him to commute to work from both the apartment and the university.

700 / 30 = $23.30 per day.
To be fair, walking in the Mojave is not always the best thing. Source: lived in the Mojave from birth until the age of 45.

Raleigh, NC to Riverside, CA was $379 10 years ago. No clue for today.

I'm still green enough to get excited when the other thread shuts down. Do something, Bowtie.
Next thing I expect would be Mr. Hardin's response. After checking the document I see that both parties have 14 days. Not defendant for 14 days then plaintiff to respond. So I expect Mr. Hardin will wait the full 14 days so that Greeeee can't put in a seething response to Mr. Hardin before the deadline.

Round trip less than $250 today. It does make me smile that prices have gone down on some routes and Russ may have paid over the odds for a doomed trip that only helped KF and Hardin.

Is it speculation to think that Russell is mopping floors and ubering the Vegas dregs around in his finest polyester wrinkle-proof monkey suit...just to hop on a round-trip Greyhound to get him his penis sucked?

What a miserable fucking gooner goblin. He's probably that weird kid in high school that skulked about beneath the bleachers looking for an exposed ass crack. Are his hands so deformed he can't take 3-5 mins. and just crank one out? Last I checked that was free.

>$0 paid for health insurance
>not receiving Medicaid
Russ, buddy, you're not an invincible 20-year-old anymore, you need to start thinking about this kind of thing. Think about the price of STD treatments!

Protip from someone who was once a broke ass college student: Instead of Greyhound, look for bus companies that are patronized by East Asians. Like Megabus out of NYC is in the same price range, but instead of a bus full of tweakers and schizos, it's all highly polite and civic-minded Chinese families who probably own millions of dollars in laudromats but consider it a shamefur dispray to buy a plane ticket when busses are half the price.

Just don't bring any pets...
