Frankly it didn't even occur to me that brony conventions were still a thing. I thought covid killed off all the big ones. What do they even do there? Didn't the show end years ago?
 
Where did he get his costume? It doesn't look like something he made himself. Is this the one? I found it on eBay.

I still have a feeling that his financial enablers seem to be influencing him into doing dumb shit like this, where going all the way down to Texas for a brony convention with a Power Ranger suit is one of them.

2019. This is a kiddie show that ended seven years ago (in spite of the goddess endlessly whining about it). I don’t know what there would even be to discuss at this point, let alone attend a convention for.

Oh, he knows they don't want anything to do with him. The problem is that Chris is the uberautist and as such he can't be considerate of other people's stances on things. Just like the original macing incident so long ago, if Chris doesn't think something is that big of a deal, then he reasons that as long as nothing gets brought up about why he was banned in the first place, then he can just go back and no harm no foul.

In this case, IIRC this is Chris's first time at Harmonycon, which was probably chosen because he'd never been there before, and from the reports coming out of there it seems like it was logical as the staff didn't initially know who he was. However, once they DID learn this guy needed to be kicked out because duh, that's when things get screwy.

Possibly. However, there could be more to this that's classic Chris. Namely, on one of the 'free' tables at the convention (tables marked for people to just put things like stickers, business cards for fansites, etc.), look what appeared this morning:

He's decided that he's on a "redemption arc" (not the first time he's been on one, for that matter) which probably dates back to that video about the medalion being 'redeemed' or whatever. This lines up with him using the White Ranger outfit, since IIRC of the OG Power Rangers lore, Tommy originally was the Green Ranger who was 'evil' under control of the Rita villain, but later chooses to join the Power Rangers proper and is 'reborn' into the White Ranger.

So, ultimately, Chris still thinks this is how the world fucking works in that you can just claim a heel-face turn like Michael Scott declared bankruptcy and everything gets reset. As he will have to experience time and again...that's not how the real world works.

It's more of it's own subculture based largely on the culture of the world set up over the course of the G4 show's decade long run (there is some representation of G5 as well but there's a reason that series didn't last more than a quarter of the same time), backed by a lot of non-pony related things like gaming, the after hours parties, and a lot of same-sounding panels (going off the posted website schedule) that are just pony-themed skins over concepts like Whose Line and, naturally, Jackbox shit.

And it's actually not that surprising the pony thing is still going after all this time. You want to see a cartoon fanbase that just won't die? Bucky O' Hare and the Toad Wars/Menance. A short lived 13 episode cartoon from the 80s you've definitely never heard of unless you watched a very specific episode of Screw Attack's Death Battle (where Fox McCloud kicked Bucky's ass), but had a dedicated fanbase that made four times as much fan content and is still going.

Again between Chris making an ass of himself at a convention and almost ALMOST ditching the tranny act ( just gotta lose the tights and skirt) are we really back? Back to the days long gone by?

Libs of Tiktok broke these people. In Minneapolis last week some antifags harassed Will Stancil about filming people burning a dumpster in the middle of a city street. When Will didn't stop filming he took an anti-fascist fist to the face.

The first couple of words are unintelligible even when listening with good quality headphones, but the rest is "...As I make my leave. Be safe, and (unintelligible) which is good, light powered, as I bless every one of you!" followed by that weird screeching he does when he's "blessing" people.

I know for chris you gotta keep up with his BS to understand the mangled turns of phrase he uses. I'm questioning what he really means by telling bronies to 'go touch grass.' I haven't kept up with him.

I think optimus prime is right when he says that chris wearing the white suit plays into his redemption arc idea, since chris can never have an original thought.

He's been doing that weird high pitched noise on cameo a lot recently. Idk why but that noise is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I thought that myself and in the UK MLP wasn't as common but apparently they are still a thing just smaller and normally named things like "Townsville Comic & Bronycon" there is a local Sci-Fi convention to me (like focus is on sci-fi not comics) but has a small general comic area that has a small broney section right at the back where nobody goes selling knock off merch etc.
