Didn't see much of a thread regarding all the fine antics of Portland and the people who live there, so I thought to make one.

Lesbian bar shuts down one week after opening because they weren't woke enough

Doc Marie’s is a lesbian bar that opened on July 1st of this year with the hope of bringing more inclusivity to the city of Portland. But just one week after their grand opening they were forced to shut down because of complaints that the bar was not a “safe space.” Similar to the story I wrote a few weeks ago about the queer-owned cafe in Philadelphia that was shut down by employees for not being woke enough, Doc Marie’s was cannibalized by the woke mob.

The crowd on opening day was huge. One woman said that the line for entry on opening night was “wrapped around the block” with “literally 200 lesbians” waiting to get in.

But the excitement about a new progressive hangout dissipated quickly. Within days, Doc Marie’s found itself on the receiving end of accusations of not being inclusive enough for trans people and people of color. Despite mask mandates being lifted in Portland, patrons accused the bar of not implementing enough COVID safety measures. Patrons also claimed that Doc Marie’s had “culturally appropriative art” on the walls.
One TikToker, who says she attended the grand opening, breaks down the accusations against the bar:

Employees of Doc Marie’s created an Instagram page to echo these concerns. They claimed that the owners weren’t proactive enough in creating a safe space and accused the owners of racism. The employees also demanded that the bar host “free opportunities for education” for the community.

Eventually, the employees demanded the owners relinquish ownership of the bar and hand the business to them. The owners were given a “24-hour deadline” to adhere to the ludicrous demands.

Just five days after opening, the bar announced on July 6th that they had to close temporarily in order to address the cries from the woke mob for a “safe and inclusive space.”

Surrendering to the woke mob doesn’t appear to be working out in Doc Marie’s favor, as the bar remains closed with no public plan to reopen.

The piece of shit who shot two cops a week ago has been caught. He was menacing people near Loyd center with a knife, cops show up and he opens fire hitting two of them then flees. They found him nearly a week later on 82nd (our Aurora avenue basically where the whores and drug dealers are) The article covering it mentions he was at the 2020 Oregon capitol riot which is interesting. He's also white not Arab as Hapless toad speculated.

Note: This is not a white male but quite obviously an Arab.

Docs: Homeless documentary maker beaten with broomstick, curtain rod by homeless man

When he asked them to leave, he says Walker put him in choke-hold, and then started hitting him with a metal curtain rod shouting, "You know I played baseball right."

He said after the rod broke, Walker continued to beat him with particle board objects and a broom stick. He says Walker also stole his cellphone.

A friend of mine is an arborist in Portland, and I was talking to him the other day. As of January 1st gas powered tools have been banned in Portland City limits. When he told me this I asked him how people were going to do tree work without a chainsaw, apparently the city council thinks it can be done with those little 12" bar electric chain saws.

I haven't read thru it all the way, but I don't think this is going to go over well. Multnomah already has a horrible permit process for tree work.

The linked article just references leaf blowers, but if this applies to other tools too then this is insane. Chainsaws, wood chippers, lawn mowers, I'm sorry the electric versions of these are seriously lacking.

Also from the article:
Why doesn’t the full ban go into effect until 2028? At the time the policy was passed, electric leaf blowers were not powerful enough to handle peak wet leaf season. This is especially true for large commercial property owners that rely on leaf blowers to keep walkways clear for safety. The phased approach gives time for electric leaf blower technology to improve.
LMAO, yeah obviously just give it two years and they'll find a way to magically have electric battery-powered motors output more power. "We're giving it two years to have our cake but also eat it too".

I have no reason to care about the specifics, but he was telling me it's all gas tools. There is a carve out where there's like 3 hours from like 10-1 when they'll be allowed. His understanding is that it's being pushed as more of a noise ordinance thing, but dressed up as environmental because Portland. I don't see commercial landscaping taking this well, and I don't know how enforcement is supposed to work.

Wikipedia usually has a list of top employers in any given area:

Holy shiiiiittt, the leftist indoctrination factories known as public school districts are the 7th and 10th largest employers.

Also, Intel is beginning to ramp down its presence in Oregon, they cut 3,000 jobs in Oregon in 2025 lol and Nike cut 470 in 2024 and more in 2025. Lmao.

Ahahaha wow I guess they want more trees to collapse

Went to public elementary school in Portland and one day we had something called a "refugee simulator" (yes really) where we spent an entire school day in the gymnasium standing in drawn circles representing borders serving our teachers and we were served a tiny bowl of rice for lunch instead of our normal food to simulate the diet of someone living in poverty. It was supposed to be like a "day in the life" of living in a shitty third world country but it just felt like the teachers taking advantage of us and getting us to do free labor around the school like cleaning and taking out trash.

Government is currently trying to speed up a Gas Tax vote to May instead of November because they think it'll have a better chance of passing in a less active vote cycle, and they'll be able to start skinning people's wallets sooner.

Oh my god, you just blasted me to the past, I remember doing this too! I went to a super crunchy elementary/middle school and we did shit like that all the time. I would have assumed it was just us, so it's crazy hearing normal Portland schools did it too (assuming you didn't go to the same hippie schools I went to, though the "Portland is a small town" effect applying through KF too would be really funny).

One time , I had an entire period of English class where the lights were turned off and we were made to stand together in a simulation of Jews being transported in a train to a concentration camp. We were reading a play adaptation of the dirt of Anne Frank at the time.

What the actual fuck? I have a few friends who are still in Portland Beaverton and Milwaukee with daughters.. they tried to groom both of them, one is a pooner, the other managed not to get sucked in 🤞. Before I left, I had a friend who was trooning out, I think he was gay, and a troll, but I'm pretty sure he 41% himself. Back to my original thought, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS GOING ON IN PORTLAND?!?!

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS GOING ON IN PORTLAND?!?!

Troons, crust punks and other types of libtards might get groomed online but living in a trailer park in Iowa is naturally hostile to them. These types will beg, borrow and steal to make it to enclaves like Portland where they’ve setup colonies.

At my high school they decided to start a "Pride Day" with my class, where freshmen would paint outdoor stuff, plant flowers, weed flower beds, pick up litter, etc.

We called it "freshman slave labor day". By the time my class was seniors the teachers were VERY tetchy about us call8ng it that.
