You're not wrong, but to be fair to the Italians, they had some help. One of the first things women voted for en masse after getting the right to vote was prohibition, which gave rise to bootlegging and organized crime. At least we got NASCAR out of it.

Probably the second silliest thing women have done after voting themselves into the workforce. Congrats, ladies, now you get to spend 40+ hours a week as a corporate drone just like the lads, at the expense of suppression of your husband's wages, your physical and mental health, and time spent with your family. Ironically, women are trending back towards wanting men to be the primary breadwinner. Conservative for all the wrong reasons.

yeah I'm not getting into whether or not it's a good idea, or frankly even a viable idea, much less a winning idea for an election
but it sure as shit ain't "libertarian" anything point oh, one, two, or any other number they consider age of consent

Yeah... I was really tempted to say he'd found a third way when he got Walz to actually let the police do their jobs, so the whole situation could cool down, but no... I think he chickened out of setting a precedent. He should've instituted the Insurrection Act and arrested not only the governor, but every judge who tried to block him. Make up charges out of thin air if you have to, but throw those people in fucking prison.

Because he didn't, we're going to get lots of opportunistic riots this summer.

Prohibition was passed BEFORE women's suffrage. Women didn't vote on it at all.

They also never voted themselves into the work force. Women were working the entire country's history in a limited number of professions (nursing, school teaching, maids, etc), and what expanded the professions they were in was the absence of men during wars.

Do you retards look up anything before you blame women for voting for it?

I'll defend you on this one because you have game knowledge. For those who don't, "a good one" is an extremely prestigious example. If you find a nice, polite, well-mannered intelligent black girl with a cute face who has both parents in her life, it's like an oasis in a desert. The GOP is trying to keep the emerging right in a box. Anyone can see White identity politics is an instant "win" button now, but the GOP has never been more determined to insert niggers and jeets into every important seat. Donalds, Sears, Ramaswamy... they'd much prefer to lose with one of their own that let the populist right win.
 
The smartest thing to do here is to let the populist right candidate win then neuter them. AKA 1965-2010. But the GOPe is retarded just like everything else here and can only see in quarterly reports.

I submit that everyone should have a healthy mistrust of capitalism. Everyone can now see what it does to society with commoditization of even the most granular life experience. And anything that can be bought or sold eventually succumbs to Enshitification. Not that Socialism or Communism are any better. But unchecked Capitalism is pretty fucked too.

Anything that is allowed to go unchecked for too long will inherently become bad. I don't necessarily think capitalism in and of itself is a bad thing I just think that the system that the people at the top have created to keep themselves in control is what needs to go.
It used to be you could buy a couple of hot dog carts in New York City and work your way up to owning several restaurants within 20 years. Now it seems like we have a secret club of money men who keep themselves and their families at the top of the food chain. The fucking banks don't even seem to give out loans anymore for small businesses.

Unfortunately, no. I think the only thing that's going to purge the flattening of our existence into a slices of profit for corporations is the inevitable, cyclical fall of society. It's the only force strong enough to defeat the corpos, advertisers, and lobbyists. Capitalism has worked too well and funneled too much up to the top this cycle.
