Didn't see much of a thread regarding all the fine antics of Portland and the people who live there, so I thought to make one.

Lesbian bar shuts down one week after opening because they weren't woke enough​



Doc Marie’s is a lesbian bar that opened on July 1st of this year with the hope of bringing more inclusivity to the city of Portland. But just one week after their grand opening they were forced to shut down because of complaints that the bar was not a “safe space.” Similar to the story I wrote a few weeks ago about the queer-owned cafe in Philadelphia that was shut down by employees for not being woke enough, Doc Marie’s was cannibalized by the woke mob.

The crowd on opening day was huge. One woman said that the line for entry on opening night was “wrapped around the block” with “literally 200 lesbians” waiting to get in.


But the excitement about a new progressive hangout dissipated quickly. Within days, Doc Marie’s found itself on the receiving end of accusations of not being inclusive enough for trans people and people of color. Despite mask mandates being lifted in Portland, patrons accused the bar of not implementing enough COVID safety measures. Patrons also claimed that Doc Marie’s had “culturally appropriative art” on the walls.
One TikToker, who says she attended the grand opening, breaks down the accusations against the bar:


Employees of Doc Marie’s created an Instagram page to echo these concerns. They claimed that the owners weren’t proactive enough in creating a safe space and accused the owners of racism. The employees also demanded that the bar host “free opportunities for education” for the community.

Eventually, the employees demanded the owners relinquish ownership of the bar and hand the business to them. The owners were given a “24-hour deadline” to adhere to the ludicrous demands.

Just five days after opening, the bar announced on July 6th that they had to close temporarily in order to address the cries from the woke mob for a “safe and inclusive space.”

Surrendering to the woke mob doesn’t appear to be working out in Doc Marie’s favor, as the bar remains closed with no public plan to reopen.

It's not and that's a missed opportunity to see how much bullshit you could get away with by manipulating their white guilt.

We should have a general PNW thread. Also, these losers basically just have an issue w/ everything awesome. I assume they hate them because they're an example of American pride in our military,

I've lived both right on Lake Washington in Seattle and in Russian Hill in SF so I've had the Blue Angels flying right over my head in two different places, and in Seattle they are really fucking loud and they rattle your house, I actually do think they fly too low there. So let's see you have two choices: be polite and normal and open up a discussion about the low flying over neighborhoods instead of over water, or make really faggy art and throw a tantrum about something incredibly cool that everybody loves. Hmm.

Yeah, I remember working in someone's condo a decade plus back and forgot they were performing. The sonic boom and windows rattling got me good. I love them.

Blue Angels rock. Have seen them a few times. And heard them. Funny how the faggots who will scream into an electric bullhorn right next to some cop's face would cry pathetically about the noise.
 
Something that really depresses me about tantrum activism is that WA had amazing incredible polite effective enviromental activism in the 60s though 80s. These stories are never told. Here is just one of the massive cleanup efforts that fixed human damage to Lake Washington for example


Kids could be raised with stories about how people saw problems and fixed them and learn how reasonable people can politely air their differences long before going nuclear, or, no, let's teach kids that the world is gonna end in nazi climate death unless they personally go run over ICE agents with their cars, that's a much better plan.

My dad took me to the shows a couple of times but we lived near an Air Force Base at one point and basically had a free show from the comfort of the pool inner tube. I have this memory of a pilot waving at me while I was in the pool but it simply cannot be real.

Where I currently live is populated by a bunch of downers who complain about all things fun. I hate the random explosions at 3am but otherwise love a good, loud 4th of July display. It's only 15-30 minutes! No surprise these people get nervous that the Blue Angels might display here every time they see a plane halfway low in the sky. It's someone's little biplane, chill out.

You can't further the cause of gay race communism with stories of success. You need to keep people terrified to make them docile nigger cattle. It's why you rarely ever hear anything good come out of the mouths of modern leftie types. Fear mongering is okay when they do it because something something Nazis.

Lake Washington got fucked up again because the homeless encampments next to it. The duck poop was always pretty bad, I think, but they were dumping motor oil and syringes and who knows what meth-cooking chemicals in there.

My favorite are the people who complain about them being a huge waste of taxpayer money which, given everything that has happened. It's a fucking retarded claim to make but I still hear it.
 
I’m kinda surprised Portland doesn’t have some vigilante who just goes to homeless encampments and just shoots rocket launchers at them.

You can make the state and city beautiful again if you just try!
