Wonderful Christmastime sucks and the only reason it gets any airplay is because it's a McCartney song. As for being the worst Beatles, Paul and John were objectively shitty people, which is what I was referring to, not their ability to make music. They are vastly overrated, but Paul is good at catchy pop songs. John Lennon deserved to get shot for Imagine even if he was right about women.
I’d argue that Wonderful Christmastime is a good song, but Paul McCartney’s recording is unbearably atrocious.

It can be redeemed by a competent cover.

I've been hearing this my entire life and it doesn't ring any more true as middle-age approaches than it did when I was 15.

I don't think people have really appreciated just how good of a drummer Ringo is, too many people think the drum solo is what makes a good drummer. Ringo never inserts himself where he doesn't belong in the song. He may not be the best technical drummer, but he knows his role.
I said elsewhere that I don't care for Neil Peart, and it's because he can't shut the fuck up. Sure, Ringo Star could never have done the percussion for The Trees (which has an execrably busy busy busy rhythm backing), but I don't think Peart could have ever done And I Love Her, In My Life, or I Will, because he couldn't have made it through the whole song without having a nervous breakdown and spazzing out all over the toms.

Seriously excellent:

Babies are awesome and you're missing out if you don't have any. A young woman who says she doesn't want kids is no different than a teenage boy who says he never wants to move out of mom & dad's house and get a job.
“But muh career!” wails the twentysomething woman who works a pink collar job with an inflated job title. Developing PowerPoints and maintaining basic spreadsheets (which she fucks up anyway) for HR making $45k per year, “coincidentally” being the one who runs out to get Starbucks for everyone, and ordering office supplies. Because if she takes off work for a few years to raise kids, she will no longer be a girlboss in the future, she insists. Mediocre women who are on the edge of getting on a performance improvement plan are the ones to lament that having kids means she won’t be CEO by the time she’s 35.

Easiest way to piss off a Boomer, they have fond memories of getting lucky in the back of their cars with their girlfriend at the time because a bunch of weird looking bongs with dumb haircuts gave Boomer chicks the tingles. They can't think about it rationally
My mom got my dad a Beatles CD for his birthday like 20+ years ago. They used to listen to it a lot. Wasn't my thing so it didn't really stick with me.

The first I heard the Beatles I was...probably eight years old, my mom had a Sgt. Pepper's cassette in the car. Don't get me wrong, they're good, I do like them, I think it's really one of those you had to be there when they were hip and new to really get it things.

Watching terfs try to puzzle out the Troon and Poon question is like watching a bunch of USSR officials try to rationlize the presence of wealth inequality in their workers utopia.

Prisoners to their presuppositions and overwrought ideologies.

TERFs have spent the last 60 years arguing all gender and gender roles are social. So they still want that except for special carve outs for things that make them feel bad. I’ve never respected these people and their fundamental premise is based on 100% bullshit. They’re not legitimate and not worth anyone’s time except to laugh at them when they do something dumber than usual.

If you think about it, this dynamic describes the liberal elite's embrace of woke ideologies in a nutshell. Lip service and social desirability, nothing more.

Imagine your typical conventionally attractive Ivy League-educated white libfemoid. She might profess to believe that every size is beautiful and that gender is a spectrum and that beauty standards are socially constructed and Eurocentric and arbitrary. After all, it's what everyone else in her social circle is saying. On Instagram, she'll tell her fatter and uglier friends that they are beautiful. But if you very, very subtly imply that she has gained weight or that she has a masculine trait, chances are she will react with distress, because deep down she still wants to be judged by society's "arbitrary" beauty standards, and reap the everyday social benefits of being prettier than her friends. I.e. she wants a special carve out.

The whole ecosystem of woke ideologies relies entirely on special carve outs in order to gain popular acceptance. Femoids believe in gender roles until it's time to get drafted, or as you noted, until its time to share locker rooms with someone with a penis. Suddenly they want special carve outs. "Progressive" professors will live in predominantly white neighbourhoods and send their kids to private schools that are 95% white while writing papers about the racial wealth gap, but that's OK because their kids deserve a special carve out. "Progressive" lawyers will moan about due process all day when it comes to gangbangers with 80 priors, but when a 19-year-old college kid looks at a foid the wrong way and is hauled off before a Title IX kangeroo court, that's OK because the alleged victim deserves a special carve out.

Very few wokes actually internalise wokeism to the extent that wokeism becomes a logically consistent ideology. Those who do are usually autists or end up trooning out (or both).

Whatever it is supposed to be. Allegedly, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is not about LSD but about a drawing by Julian Lennon, John's son, but I guess the boomers didn't know that back then (and likely never updated their knowledge).
