If you're willing to buy chink steel on the cheap, you're getting ripped off, simple as. You may have to pay more for American steel but whatever your building is going to have the best steel in it, hands down.

I used to work for a multinational with subsidiaries all over the world, and who stupidly entered into a JV in China. The JV quickly began losing money because it couldn't compete in the domestic market, so to prop it up the board Chair forced many of the subs - us included - to dump our current suppliers and import from the chinks. Contracts were signed, full specs were agreed to, price was only a tad below what we were previously paying our first-world sources, etc. Within two or three shipments the stuff they were sending us bore only a passing resemblance to the contracted specs. Chink fuckers nearly put us out of business and we were still forced to buy from them until mercifully they collapsed under their own graft/incompetence. The postscript is hilarious: after the multinational pulled out of China, all of the factory equipment was sold on the cheap by the JV partner to chink rival companies. lol, who could have seen that coming?
