The T-90 is a good tank. Its just a product improvement program on the T-72. It's cheap, well armored for what it is with modern electronics.

Russian armored cavalry failed in this war because it was not utilized according to the Soviet doctrine they were built to execute, and new production is hampered by the fact that much of their thermal optics were sourced from France (THALES).

If the vehicle was utilized according to deep battle doctrine (essentially the soviet version of maneuver warfare), a better outcome would have happened. unfortunately Russia half-assed this whole operation. note armored thrusts enveloping enemy positions, isolating them from support and allowing infantry and artillery to destroy them while the armor continues into the enemy rear areas.
