These midterms will make 2022 look like a total nothing burger. It will get bloody. Matk my words a GOP candidate WILL get Kirk'd and the DNC will be outspending the GOP 10 to 1 in most races for little to no difference in performance.

I also expect to see a lot of upset people in the GOP and DNC over total amateurs coming in and destroying their chosen corporate candidates in primaries.

I would argue their gangs exist because that just is their culture anymore and not "in addition to", but I could not say definitively.

My only experience with La Cosa Nostra amounts to two events: one was a distant relative from upstate New York who "owned a construction company".

In the middle of the gas crisis of the 1970s, he rolled up to our house to visit my father (I was just a kid) in the biggest fucking car I have ever seen. I think it was an Eldorado convertible. Red. Early 70's. He was driving it from NY to Florida with his wife and probably spent more on fuel than my father earned in a month. His wife was fat, loud, had a 1960's beehive hairdo and they both wore about 10 pounds of gold jewelry. She reeked of hair spray.

We kids were told to not talk to "Uncle Frank" or about his obscure source of income.

The second was when a friend of mine, when I told him this story, related to me that he was from Buffalo and that "my skills could be put to good use if I wanted to make some money" because "he knew some people".

Hard pass.

Hope is not a plan. Lots of people can talk all the shit about us Gen X they want - and a lot of it will be justified. But they cannot argue that our sneering cynicism and disdain for our government were absolutely 100% correct.

I don't think this 'works out' with them leaving. They are not going to consent to leave. Which leaves one choice.

Let real wages grow for a minute as we lessen our trade deficit and then we’ll talk about it, but if you’re saying “Americans should have more babies instead of importing them from India or whatever” then you can’t really run a country where nobody can afford to work in a factory and have kids, bottom line

It's not just Somalians doing this, they were just too dumb to make the fronts look even halfway legit. Politicians everywhere have their hands deep in this. The campaign donations alone these scams generate is huge.

I have found Silents to be generally respectful and decent people - throwbacks to an earlier more civilized time. In sharp contrast to the hedonistic, malignant narcissism and pathological behavior of the Boomers.

But, we shall see. There is always some overlap.

I think choosing Somalis as the fall guys is very very highly intentional.

The idea is probably that if the FBI makes arrests the fall guys are too dumb or mentally feeble to make good informants or even point the finger at the people pulling the strings.

Somewhere along the highway in central PA, there is a Subway that wouldn't take a Subway gift card from my coworker because they were not actually 'officially' affiliated with Subway (so they claimed).
