I think he's suing the SOS because they released his business information to someone who requested copies of those papers, because it's public information and tough shit if you don't want people seeing your papers maybe you shouldn't file to register a business with the state.

But then why federal court? Filing in the proper court is the one thing he usually gets right, even if the claim is utterly insane.

I like Mr. Hardin's theory of trying to get unemployment benefits since an allegation of disability discrimination could fall under the (federal) ADA.
 
Anyhoo, he's really in for it. One, the Magistrate is a woman, need I say more, and two, when the Secretary of State sees that Greer registered a business in the state using only the initials (W.H.) of one of his managers instead of his full name, they're gonna be like, "Ew. PLONK." I do think it's interesting that he apparently is not requesting a jury trial.

Presumably because it's a civil rights case. 🤷‍♂️ We'll know more once we see the complaint, which I hope will be forthcoming soon in spite of it being Christmas.

The only thing I can think of that the SoS has actually done is release records of his corporations.

In most cases, it would be inappropriate for a given secretary of state to call and ask for information about a case that is not available in the public docket. As a member of state government, she should have no special or particular interest in a federal lawsuit that does not involve the state of Nevada.
