It sucks, its so laggy its unplayable. The combat is totally dysfunctional because of it and the only thing they designed for players to do is grind shitty mini games to unlock cars and homes that aren't in the game. Aka, gta online but with terrible netcode.
More proof that not every game or genre is compatible with an MMO format. It's best that I'd have a contained experience that I can enjoy MYSELF.

I recall the director of Devil May Cry 5 Hideaki Itsuno actually praised the reboot and even incorporated ideas from that game into DMC5.
He even said he'd want to work with them to make a sequel.

No it's just proof that they don't know what they're doing. Bully is absolutely condusive to an mmo but the netcode sucks so the game doesn't work. Also why did you quote that from one thread and post it here?

Devs nerfing a build in a single player game should be straight up illegal, or they should add an option in the menu as to which version you wish to play.

Diablo 4 doesn't get enough hate for being a single player game that requires an internet connection.

Will understand the people that unironically get mad at people for emulating like 30 to 40 year old games that the companies themselves aren't even selling. I understand authenticity and if you can find something like a SNES and some games for cheap then go for it but it's ridiculous how they want people to pay for these things over and over and over on new consoles.
It’s one thing if it truly is not possible to purchase a game, it’s another when it actually is commercially available but a pirate twists themselves into a pretzel to justify why they can’t buy the rerelease (“the remaster/rerelease is bad”, “I don’t like the developer”, “fuck [publisher name here],”). If you want to pirate because you want it for free, go ahead, but it’s gay to pretend you have a higher-level reasoning for doing it. Also, pirates have the same energy as vegans in that they will literally die violently if they don’t tell someone they pirate games every other minute.

And we all knew how that ended. The gameplay was solid, but the story was all over the place. Samus acts like a dainty flower, but she executes enemies like a cold-blooded bitch.
Anything that went right with that game was all thanks to Team Ninja. They are no strangers to strong female characters and treat their heroines with respect and dignity. If it were up to Team Ninja, Samus would've crushed Ridley's skull between her thighs in a topless mudwrestling match.

I would've been down for that. I mean, I once beat Giga Bowser by having Peach slam her ass into him in Smash Bros Melee.

I never understood why people tolerated that shit. Single-player games should not require an internet connection in the least.

I remember there being a Retro interview about how they intended to actually make a game where Samus the bounty hunter, hunted bounties to the genuine confusion of their Japanese bosses. Sometimes creators don't know what to do with their own creations
Which is funny, considering that "honorable mercenaries" is a trope that Japanese works used, and Japanese anime shows like City Hunter had actual bounty-hunting as the heroes' actual profession, be it capturing a bad guy or protecting a VIP for money.

That ship kind of sailed with D3 over a decade before. You literally couldn't play it at launch yet here we are.
I could on console and there's a difference between a dog shit launch because the penny-pinchers wouldn't open the wallet for more server space, and my single player game lagging while attacking a wolf, only to watch said wolf frame skip across the scene then rubber band back to hit me.

Well there's your problem. Maybe you wouldn't have to deal with online only single player games if you'd complained more back then. Same problem but apparently your actual issue is that this time it didn't work on your machine.

Seems you're the fool for buying a game on day one. Even more of a fool for conflating shite launch with always online.

A shite launch will only be shite at launch. An always online game will be shite forever.

A shite launch will only be shite at launch.
Okay. Now have that same logic when games released as is without the luxury of patches to fix them. Now, there's a shitty game that could need a reprint to fix whatever bugs were present in that build.
