The thing that people like Hasan will never understand- there are a lot of countries in the world, and many of them have interesting histories and cultures that they can feel proud of, Russia and China included. That says nothing about their current political situation, which is often temporary in the scale of things. Politics are pretty much always the least interesting thing about any country that one visits, unless it's an active war zone or similar.

But since Hasan doesn't care about boring shit like art, music, history, beautiful architecture or scenery, he'll never really appreciate anywhere he goes. It's just a new backdrop to stream from.

Probably the most significant thing asmon does is actually skim the chat, read aloud a random comment that is slyly asking a derogatory or embarrassing question, and he'll immediately answer the question in either a witty sarcasm or lean into it and say the worst thing possible and self-deprecate in a clever way. He's a pro at riffing., as though he's living an MST3K stream, and it's great for audience engagement. He'd also take suggestions for choices in games like Vampire Survivors, DRG Survivor or Ball X Pit.

Meanwhile the only thing Hasan is good for is 电动狗, "electric dog," he's a non-interactive lecturer unless you get him to crash out over a comment, usually about Kaya now.

At first it was funny seeing Hasan, as a commie-wannabe tankie larper, collide with the realities of existing within a real life totalitarian "communist" police state.
