but, VA & EBT are of the table 2026.
deal has been struck to reopen the government and end the shutdown. Key provisions include:
— Funds govt. through Jan 30, 2026 for most agencies?
— Fully funds Ag/FDA, Veterans Affairs, and Military Construction for the full fiscal year
— Provides $153.3B discretionary + $263.7B mandatory for VA, incl. medical care & toxic exposure support
— Rehires all laid-off federal workers w/ full back pay
— Guarantees food stamps through FY2026
— Includes protections against mass federal layoffs this year
— Guarantees a Senate vote by mid-Dec on extending Affordable Care Act subsidies

I think they do have an idea.
Trump and being against him is what unites them and distracts from the enormous differences internally between factions.
Trump is what prevents an internal civil war between the "eat the rich" progressives and the "liberal elite and rich donor class". Then throw in the outright hard communists and the faction of pro-palestinians who are and HARD anti-jew and no fans at all of the rich elite either. Trump is what keeps them from eating eachother.

That is why they have no policy except : Trump Bad.
The tent is so big that ANY policy would infuriate some faction that they need to hold the party together. Hence no policy.

This is all the fault of Pelosi. Instead of stamping out the progressives when they came in, she allowed them in and "they are cute and they bring the young vote".
But now they have actual power and sway on things. So, good job Nancy.

Not only that but nobody likes voting for babies. They threw a month and a half long tantrum and still didn't get anything they wanted.
Grow the fuck up, you got the fuck beat out of you in 2024 in every single category, holding your breath and banging your head on the ground like a toddler while people don't have food stamps and federal employees don't get paid is not a good look.
Like I said the majority of people will probably blame Republicans for this but it doesn't matter. The people who actually COUNT, the independent voters who know how to do their research and think for themselves are looking at the Democrats right now in disgust.
Not to mention the fact that watching these fuckers crumble like a jenga tower has put apathy in the hearts of every Democrat. So lmao.

yeah I honestly don't see the government reopening till Wednesday latest. Senate democrats have accepted fate, but we'll have to wait till house finally reconvenes after almost two months of being away what plans they have to delay. There's also a lot of other procedural stuff that have to happen too with the new congress members waiting to be sworn in.

Which I assume the new members of the house will be able to vote on this too, for this is ongoing legislation with new amendments being put forth in the chambers.

Based on the hysterical screeching on Reddit. I hope the 8 dems that voted for this gets the extra security they need. Because based on reddit, a lot of these batshit crazy motherfuckers are really angry with them right now.
Trump, or whoever decides security, shoudl definitely give them extra protection right now until the redditors and trannies calm down and forget.

this has been the opinion of most people i have talked to about the shut down. everyone no matter what side they are on agrees that the democrats were acting like spoiled children. all this shut down has done is show that the democrats are more than willing to hold people underwater as long as it takes for them to get what they want and if they drown so be it.
