So, does this mean I get my food stamps tomorrow?

This is a joke, I am not black.

Imagine shutting down the government for over a month and winning a bunch of elections, energizing your base for the first time in a year, only to cave on literally everything you shut it down over only a week later.
That's how pathetic Dems are.
Dems are the masters of rugpulling.

Even if the Democrats don't fall apart today, all the ancient ones who knew how to keep shit between the gutters are dying or retiring. Most of their successors are loony radicals who are all too eager to hit the self destruct button on the American empire out of misguided principles.

Also nice to see the Republicans show an uncharacteristic amount of spine. Maybe, just maybe, this will show them that you really can accept an easy W.

It's the ultimate white pill- we're winning not necessarily because the right is smart, but because the left is dumb. They could assassinate the entire populist GOP and it wouldn't stop the leftist ship from sinking. It's the ultimate barrier to me becoming a doomer, no matter how bad everything else is.
As much as drumf fumbles, I have noticed he largely lands on his feet because his enemies are fundamentally retarded. Fascinating.
Say nothing and move on, they got all those votes in the election, saved the fired federal workers and hopefully have finally realized that they can't just yell "healthcare, healthcare, healthcare" on repeat like this is the U-fucking-K. They were on offense this time and failed but that doesn't mean they lost, it just means that things are no better off then they were before this started.
True! Miggers are celebrating, but thinking about it for a sec, the Dems achieved everything they wanted. The repubs may have a bit better optics right now, but they STILL lost.

it still has to go back to the house and then the presidents desk. The Gov is not officially opened until then

None of that was in the bill that Republicans tried to initially pass and was blocked. All of those could have been consequences if this went on and things continued to heat up. But Republican just got everything they asked for at the start with basically zero concessions to the Democrats who had initially a massive list of demands. When you get everything you ask for at the start and the people who hate you get nothing they asked for, you call that a win.
Ok I guess. My point is the Democrats had basically zero leverage, other than the fact that historically Republicans like to cuck in these circumstances. I guess they didn't cuck, so great. But out of this came many opportunities such as the RIF cases, but none of that is relevant anymore. The democrats leveraged the shut down politically for mega-off term elections, whereas anything that happens now is way too long before the midterms to have much impact. If you believe ending the shutdown is so good for Republicans, how is it also great for Republicans that it happened in the first place and went on so long?

Why does that the happening post say it’s over? Still has to pass the house and be signed, we still have a few days for that to happen if it even does.
If this is a clean CR which I thought it was, that already passed the house and doesn't need to go back down. If there were some changes, but it's substantially the same, Republicans already have the votes for that in the house if it needs another vote.

Because now Democrats eat the blame for the shutdown, and the party that takes the blame for the shutdown historically fairs worse in elections.

If it passed cloiture, it's passing. Zero chance the House overrules it or the Senate denies once it's sent back. You'll likely have a few Dems like Fetterman voting for it again to balance out faggots like Rand.

My nigga just read back a few pages for the Reddit responses, this throws cold water all over their gloating about winning some odd-year elections in blue states, now they're the ones chugging blackpills.

Taken from CBS (https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/government-shutdown-latest-senate-weekend-session/)

"Senate GOP leaders are expected to move to amend the legislation to attach a package of full-year appropriations bills as part of a deal to end the shutdown, along with an extension of the temporary funding measure to keep the government funded through January.

The vote marks the start of what could be a lengthy series of procedural votes in the Senate, since any one senator can slow the process down. Once through the Senate, the House would also have to approve the legislation before it could receive the president's signature. "

So the hard part is technically done and something is pushed though, now it's just when will all the procedural stuff get done both in the house and senate with the three new provisions. which can take a day or two, depending if there are house democrats that want to delay the inevitable out of spite.

several house democrats have voiced opposing this deal, especially house minority leader. In that case, we might see people speaking in the chambers to delay votes by hours. maybe a day or two.

Because Republicans are going to vote Republican, and the loony left is going to vote left... But the actual informed independent voter saw a left that was so spiteful and stupid that they basically shut the entire government down and put both fingers in their ears and went "LALALALALALALALA" for 40 days.
They did it for 40 days and still didn't get jack shit for it. They made themselves look like fucking retards to the undecided voters who actually determine the outcome of elections.
Stupid fucks who don't know shit about shit are going to "Vote blue no matter who", but the actual section of voters that matter, the ones who have an IQ above room temperature... the GOP scored a lot of points with them tonight.
They prove that they were strong, they stood by their convictions, they didn't compromise or negotiate with bully tactics and tantrums, and they ended up looking like the adults in the room by default, which is great.
Hopefully that good will with the independent voters will not be forgotten in a year during the midterms.

more rumblings of a party split from the proletariat masses.

As much as it hurts to admit, the Republicans are the only way to go right now. The dems (especially the old guard who refuse to retire) have no idea what they're doing. Their plan begins and ends at fighting the Trump admin, even if it's about doing something helpful for once.

I think this is one of the biggest factors in all of this. No one likes voting for a loser and shutting the government down and getting nothing for it makes you look like a loser.

Yeah, but it's not technically true. You're (not you specifically) getting people worried who work with government employees and making them believe they'd be back at work tomorrow.
