Bernie: 'our job is to create universal heathcare...'
no it fucking isn't dude.

If it doesn't pass, Dems get another opportunity to force Republicans to cuck out.

If it does pass, Trump and Republicans will give up on nuking the filibuster, leaving the door open for Democrats to do it anyway when they inevitably take back power.

It's a lose/lose scenario either way.
Lol shut up queer

Johnson is literally refusing to seat a member of the house to block the vote to release them.
See you when nothing happens, and also if that were true then he would be FORCED to seat said member if democrats voted to open the government. So again how is the shutdown all about delaying epstein files when the very people claiming that are the ones voting no

So, no more shutdown? EBT will be funded again?
seems to be the look of things, yessir. terrifik had a good post a page ago.
The package:
— Funds govt. through Jan 30, 2026 for most agencies
— Fully funds Ag/FDA, Veterans Affairs, and Military Construction for the full fiscal year
— Provides $153.3B discretionary + $263.7B mandatory for VA, incl. medical care & toxic exposure support
— Rehires all laid-off federal workers w/ full back pay
— Guarantees food stamps through FY2026
— Includes protections against mass federal layoffs this year
— Guarantees a Senate vote by mid-Dec on extending Affordable Care Act subsidies

See you when nothing happens, and also if that were true then he would be FORCED to seat said member if democrats voted to open the government. So again how is the shutdown all about delaying epstein files when the very people claiming that are the ones voting no
the argument is that because republicans won't renew ACA subsidies that were supposed to be for COVID, which have been abused to allow illegals to obtain certain federal monies for healthcare, they are the ones who are actually shutting down the government, and democrats are the valiant heroes fighting for pablo and oyobembe to get their rightly-deserved benefits.

Rehiring the laid off workers and not being able to lay off more is an L in my book, along with having a vote on those worthless ACA subsidies. Republicans need to stop fucking cucking to the Democrats over this ahit
Who says they can't lay off anymore? All this is, is the RIFs that were started because of the shutdown, got held up in court, and weren't allowed to be executed. As far as I've seen, no one has actually been laid off. And so it all becomes moot, and different RIFs have to be sent out.

There's a good argument Congress aren't the people who get to decide if people get the President is, since he is the one who is in charge of executing the spending of the money they allocate.

How does the government being shut down effect any of that? The Senate has been meeting regularly and could hold a vote in whatever committee to subpoena whatever other files from the Whitehouse they want to release (other than the 30k they already did that no one cared about). The best argument is they have the votes to do it from the house which hasn't been meeting since why bother meeting when the Senate hasn't voted on your bill and the government is shutdown.

In summary, don't expect anything.
It cause normies to suffer for not voting the right way & for the revolution :punished:

With full GOP attendance, there will be 52 “yes” votes (Rand Paul opposing)

Dem Sens. Fetterman, Cortez Masto & King have been backing the GOP CR. That’s 55.

Add Shaheen, Hassan & Kaine, that’s 58.
In other words, they still don't have the votes. Incredible.

Alright. Feel free to call me a retard. If the Republicans can get Dems to consneed without a concession on the ACA then I am willing to bare that title forever for being a dumbass doomer.

Seriously, Democrats are retarded if they can't turn this into a win after everything.

Guys... I think we're gonna make it. :optimistic:
All we ask for is a Burger Suit. You'll like it. It's tasty and organic.

Then why are the libs on reddit and places all panicking now? Their only thing is 'don't change ANYTHING'. It's amazing how dems went from 'hope and change' to 'if you change the status quo we'll kill you and your family'.
These are the same people who act like you're stuck in the past to position themselves as the future.

i think you might really be one of my favorite people on the whole website.

i hear burger suits are very in-fashion for doomers this year.

Tucker Carlson hosted Bob Amsterdam for a discussion about prosecution of Christians in Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Armenia, and Nigeria. Amsterdam assured Tucker that the statements about Christian Nigerians being slaughtered were a "distraction":

1762730594229.png

Turns out that Tucker's guest has been working for Nasir El-Rufai, a Muslim governor who endorsed Islamic death squads and who had directly ordered the killings of Nigerian Christians.
Some more information on Nasir el-Rufai here & Kaduna State generally:
  • Kaduna is almost smack-dab in the dead center of Nigeria, and has an almost evenly split population of about 50% Muslims (living in its northern districts) and 49% Christians (living in the southern districts). It is, in other words, pretty much a microcosm of the ongoing Islamist genocide targeting the Christians in that country.
  • El-Rufai is a Fulani supremacist. The Fulani are basically the worst shitbull-in-human-form turboniggers not only in Nigeria, but also in the countries around it. These days, besides forming the backbone of Islamist militias in Nigeria itself they're also the Islamists who are on the verge of toppling the government of Mali in spite of the Russian mercenaries backing the latter, and are also raising all sorts of hell in Niger & Burkina Faso. In ye olde days of the 19th century, they went on a murderdeathrape rampage across West Africa as turboniggers are wont to do and built some rival Islamic wannabe caliphates which, if given enough time, would probably have killed/consolidated with one another to form one giga-'We Wuz Caliphs' empire in & south of the Sahel. However these proto-empires got cucked to death by the French (and to a lesser extent the Germans & British, mostly in the east) before they could get to that point, which the Fulani have been seething about ever since.
  • The guy before El-Rufai was the replacement for Kaduna's first and so far last Christian governor, who was assassinated by way of an engineered helicopter crash. One of the conspirators turned out to be an imam named Isa Pantami, who was a big fan of Boko Haram before they in turn got cucked by ISIS and who was a minister in the government of Muhammadu Buhari (the previous president of Nigeria, and himself a Fulani Muslim who was barely pretending to hide his Islamist inclinations & favoritism).
  • Southern Kaduna, where that state's Christians live, is one of the worst regions re: the Nigerian genocide right now, so much so that it got a separate article in Wikipedo and even though they clearly really wanted to, not even they can pretend that the Fulaniggers dindu nuffin or that this is primarily a conflict over grazing rights/resources rather than sheer bloody-minded derkaderka'ing.
  • Despite all the killings, the imposition of sharia law, etc. still not enough Christians have fled Kaduna State to significantly alter the religious demographics of the place in the Muslims' favor. They're fighting back and those times when the conflict was being redefined in mainstream media outlets as a 'herder-farmer conflict' or 'dispute over grazing rights, water rights, etc.' were the times when the Christians were winning, compelling the jihadists to play victim & fish for sympathy (or in the case of Trump's recent Truth posts aimed at them, trying to deter foreign intervention that could again place the Christians in ascendancy). When the jihadists are winning, you'll most likely not hear a damn thing about Kaduna (or northern Nigeria generally) from those same media outlets instead.
Unless the plan is to help Biafra gain independence at last then Trump really shouldn't bother bombing Nigeria, literally just give the Christians weapons and they'll sort this shit out themselves, the genocide is happening (as opposed to just a huge wave of Nigerian refugees coming to the West) because they overwhelmingly refuse to abandon their rightful homelands and are instead determined to fight for & if necessary, die in it - having the will to fight is not one of their problems. At most, let Blackwater or whatever they're calling themselves today go there (as Erik Prince has indicated he wants to do), and/or dispatch some special forces types to help organize the Christians and practice their canoeing/tomahawk-chopping habits on Fulaniggers who 1000% deserve it.

Drone footage of said Fulaniggers getting vaporized or El-Rufai being waterboarded would be cool & all, but they don't really have any central leadership in favor of the various clans/tribes just organizing raiding & killing parties whenever they feel like it, so there's no specific Fulani emir or command structure you could whittle down with targeted assassinations or MOAB strikes on their cave hideouts right now; at most they get to the level of being described as 'bandits', basically statewide federations of terroristic ethnoreligious gangs that lean into Islam the way neo-Aztec cartel types worship Santa Muerte but who - despite definitely having the numbers & brutality to burn isolated churches or devastate Christian villages - are still too retarded & loosely knit to even begin building a caliphate. The properly organized Islamists, like Boko Haram & ISIS, still primarily operate in far northern Nigeria where there are almost no Christians, unlike in the Middle Belt of the country.

Tl;dr TFD - Total Fulani(gger) Death.

Why did the Dems shut down the government for over a month only to cave on everything with absolutely zero concessions?
What did they really want though? It seems to me they didn't really lose that much. They got EBT almost for sure and there will probably be some compromise on ACA to meet in the middle at least by January
Are they stupid?
Yes.

Are they stupid?
Perhaps they were absolutely terrified of the idea of the filibuster being removed. Even if it was never going to be removed.
Same goes the other way though, rhinos would literally rather give concessions than to sieze power
