Though I do agree Trump needs to make moves on affordability or he'll give Democrats a valid talking point after four years.
I think it would be worthwhile to rebuild our infrastructure and make some nice monuments. Not busywork like what FDR did though.

Do what? Trump already told them to nuke the filibuster. What do you expect Vance to do?

What do these limp-wristed pricks expect to get out of "muh principles"? Do they they think they'll get a cookie? They do realize who just got elected AG of the state they live in, right? The days of everyone scratching each other's backs are long gone.

I think he could survive an issue like that if it weren't the only thing on the table.

Problem is—

1. Government shutdown with no end in sight.

2. SCOTUS likely to shoot down his tariffs. This causing an economic crisis.

3. Everything is horrifically expensive right now.

That's the ammo the Democrats need. Can we fix things in times for 2026? Possibly but I have a feeling Senate Republicans are going to fuck us over hard.

That's because they know they're going to retake the legislature in 2026.
No because just like what they did in 2021 when they extended the credits for 4 fucking years its a problem that they created that they can blame on the opposition in case they lose again.
If they win extensions will be set until the next election cycle, if they lose they can blame reps for not extending them for support.
Instead of creating new legislature they hold existing legislature hostage for political power, they could have easily extended the credits by 10+ years the last time they were in power but they didn't.

You can’t be a Constitutionalist and also be against judicial review. That doesn’t make sense. Either the Constitution is binding and therefore a law can be reviewed or the Constitution is not binding and therefore a law cannot be reviewed. You can’t have a binding Constitution if there’s no body to bind it to.
The only organization that can reverse laws is the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Lesser courts have no such authority. Some bumfuck state or circuit court judge can not override all three of the federal branches. SCOTUS did not give consent for someone to use their authority, that's rape y'know.

Besides that, the only binding authority in the U.S. is the citizenry. We are a representative republic by which the authority of every single document comes from civil amenity. This is part of the reasoning behind why a court can be completely overruled by it's own citizens refusing the authority of the law. No judge, executor, or legislator can truly override that.

To Trump and the Republicans:

End the filibuster
Well, I guess this isn't happening so I'll just say this—the shutdown isn't going to end unless the Filibuster is killed at this point.

The longer this goes on, the more I think nuking the filibuster becomes a viable way to snag a win from this debacle.
A large amount of people are really getting annoyed with how long this is going on and how blatant of a power play it is, especially now that it's become the longest shutdown in history, so the promise of this never happening again could be a big win with the public.

That said, this thinking relies on the Republican party coming together to make a significant change without Trump holding their hand the whole way through so even if my strategy here is sound it's not exactly likely Rs will go through with it.

To Trump and the Republicans:

End the filibuster
Pass mandatory voter ID for all federal elections
Codify Trump's Executive Orders
Terminate the H1-B Visa Program in its entirety, they have 3 months to leave
Release any and all files on Epstein

These are all within the realm of being enacted within the next couple of weeks. These are good things for the country, it's what your base wants, it's what independents want, and is your best bet at keeping power in 2026 and 2028.
Nobody quite gets it. Once they all go back home for the holidays election season for 2026 begins. Nothing controversial will get a vote in Congress before next November at the earliest. They've done nothing since Trump was sworn in (as is tradition).

Would it be a huge victory for Republicans? Yes. Will they do it? No, because they're cuckolds who love to lose. Trump should just say fuck it and go full on dictator at this point because these cucks have screwed us.

Who gives a fuck about the jeet? He will be limited to fucking Ohio. Trump needs to focus on Americans and America going into next year. If he puts out the fires he'll do well
I do. Jeets are only for the jeets. If you don't focus on the jeets, they will spread like diarrhea. Besides, dealing with the jeets will be a net benefit to Americans.

your getting to the crux of the issue, trump has 2 things he can hang his hat on crime and immigration, lets check the exit polls to see what people said they were most concerned about

Trump can send the national guard into 50 more cites and deport 100,000 illegals and it still wont make peoples bottom line any better.

All the money trump is spending on these dumb over the top "crack downs" need to go to MASSIVE public work projects that put tax payer dollars back into the hands of workers doing skilled labor to better their countrys infrastructure and community.

Tarrifs are a band aid to 40 years of being raped by the rest of the world on trade, its not nearly enough to fix the tens of millions below the poverty line.
So we're gonna go back and forth between both parties every 4 years until the country collapses or the dollar collapses. Best case scenario is that the econ improves. Which has a .001% chance of happening. Got it.

I do. Jeets suck. Ohio is a swing state. I don't want scammer vivek to be the albatross around Trump's neck or Vance's neck in the future.

Trump is going to make beef affordable again:

Just in time for Christmas 2026. Too late to help MAGA in the midterms.
