It's not that Trump doesn't want to, it is that senate Republicans are too cucked. They have to be the ones to do it and they won't.

Too afraid to seize power. Unfortunately, I don't see Dems coming back to the table for honest negotiations after this (even this was a real big fucking stretch), so killing the filibuster is the only way we're ending this shutdown.

In otherwords, infinite shutdown engage.

Trump can send the national guard into 50 more cites and deport 100,000 illegals and it still wont make peoples bottom line any better.

All the money trump is spending on these dumb over the top "crack downs" need to go to MASSIVE public work projects that put tax payer dollars back into the hands of workers doing skilled labor to better their countrys infrastructure and community.

Tarrifs are a band aid to 40 years of being raped by the rest of the world on trade, its not nearly enough to fix the tens of millions below the poverty line.

The Uniparty Rs have the been the biggest enemy since 1965. It's that they pretend to be friends rather than be an honest enemy.

I'm sure Trump has seen all these issues land on his desk, yet he's a savvy enough businessman to know that there's only so much that can be done at one time before overloading everything and causing a major breakdown that - surprise! - will end up taking even longer to fix. Trump knows that he is in hostile territory; in this scenario, even moving a few inches forward at a time can be considered a victory.

Its quite literally the obligation (IMO) of anyone blessed with intelligence to take care of those people even though they wont work with you and be weaponized by other intelligent people with selfish goals against you and in the end they wont ever remember you or even will curse you name its still the responsibility that comes with the blessing.

Only thing I can guess is Republicans want the government shut down for some reason, and weren't expecting the Dems to hit em' with the 1 year tax credit. That, or they wanted Johnson's bill to get the federal workers paid, so they could keep the government shutdown as a pretense for "not dealing with the Dems" while also allowing themselves to be pussies and avoid killing the filibuster.

Senate Republicans cuck again and fall into another Democrat trap. The only option now is to kill the filibuster and they're never going to be so bold.
