its been nearly thirty years since they actually passed a budget. Its a genuine question at this point as to whether they even know how to anymore. And I don't mean in a semantic "agreements and compromises" definition but I mean they do not know how to do it, in the same way that an 18 year old does not know how to file taxes. The great apparatus as a whole has neglected a core function for so long that it might as well be Lostech to them.

Rate me :optimistic:, for this, I deserve it, but it would be lovely to see the DSA declared a Foreign Terrorist Organization and see its donors, leadership, and its foot soldiers all suffer the full force of federal law enforcement. They sure did memetic damage to the idea of taking care of the environment or trying to be less wasteful of natural resources. Now, if you protest illegal dumping of toxic chemicals, poor air quality, inefficient farming practices that pollute the local streams and the ever diminishing local groundwater, or suggest that maybe improving the insulation in your home will make it more comfortable to live in and save money on your HVAC costs, you're clearly one of those envirohippielibtards who thinks they're saving the world by splashing soup on a painting or blocking the highway.

If you help out with a local municipal initiative to plant trees in the median of a recently renovated stretch of road in your area, you can expect some asshole in a Dodge Ram to roll coal on you as he passes. You're not allowed to just think trees are beautiful and enjoy their shade anymore.
