I just really wish someone a bit more autistic than me made a compilation of all the nutshots, eyepokes, hammers to the back of the head, headkicks while the other's grounded, etc. Gane, Imavov, and all the other MMA Factory faggots have done in their careers and just made Dana watch it Clockwork Orange style, I wonder if he still said it was unintentional. Shady fucking gym, every single fighter of theirs just coincidentally happens to fight extremely dirty. They also have a history of leaking sparring footage which is extra homosexual.
MMA Guru plans to make just such a video, I believe.

They need to institute VAR into the fights. They have an active production truck capable of doing on the fly replay, we are treated to it regularly. The moment an incident occurs where the referee feels that he is in a position to completely pause the action, it needs to be reviewed. I think this is needed badly for several reasons that have come up recently:

Vicente Lique drew a foul for being “poked in the eye”, but in reality, he got punched. Totally legal. Pause fight, review footage. Ask the fighter if he’s able to continue after seeing that it was a legal blow. If unable, award the opponent the victory.

Kevin Holland got iced in the dick and balls twice. The first strike was quite bad, but the second kick looked low and like it mostly clipped his inner thigh. Replaying this from memory, but it didn’t look like the kick connected flush and he drew the entire 5 minutes, then basically waved off a few seconds toward the end of the round himself. Maybe a testicle became herniated, no idea, but video replay on demand could have helped in that situation.

The Gane eye poke. There needs to be something done about the opened palm rangefinding shit. We know they’re not going to change gloves, so they need to find a way to ensure fighters aren’t jabbing with the fingers. It does suck to keep your fists clenched for so long, especially when the gloves are prohibited your hands to rest in their natural curve, but what can you do? Keith Peterson and Jason Herzog generally do a great job of telling fighters to keep their hands closed, but I feel the entire organization has become more relaxed in enforcing keeping the hand closed. Looking for more controversial decisions? It does create more cash, after all. Anyway, VAR would’ve shown that Gane was aggressing with an open palm toward Tom.

So what can be done then? Rules are explained in the back which tell the fighters where they are allowed to strike, and also to keep their hands closed. If you have your hand open and gouge someone’s eye, the action is immediately paused, and goes under review. If legit, summon the ringside doctor to assess the fighter and gauge severity - this will obviously be the difficult part. If the fighter is able to continue, deduct a point immediately. Unable to fight, DQ win. This offense will be recorded and held for a period of time. Similar to getting kicked in the nuts too (maybe with a bit more leniency here).

Second time it happens within a period of time, DQ and total purse forfeiture.

Third time? Contract termination. Liability at that point.

Any suggestions to try and improve the sport is just wishful thinking. The UFC is stagnant and allergic to change. Bad reffing, fouls, robberies, all have been a common occurrence since the sport's inception and the UFC does fuck all about it.

Refs and judges are all disposable, there's no reason to protect them, yet to this day Sal D'amato, Goddard and Herb Dean are still around working for them. Dan Hardy called out Herb Dean for a horrible stoppage once and Dana got absolutely livid at him for daring to speak out.
The only time a judge has been 'punished' (if you can even call it that) was when a hack judge gave Costa the win over Strickland and he got pulled away from the night. That, and eye pokes might as well be allowed. Remember how Weidman got an eye poke TKO and in the following card a fighter got cut for biting? Or when the ref watched as Jalin Turner pummeled Bobby Green skull in?

You can foul and refuse to stop the fight as long as you follow a happy medium, and don't do it too blatantly like Palhares or Yamasaki. And if you're a judge, just sleep through the fight and make up whatever scorecard you feel like. Dream job, am I right?

They need to institute VAR into the fights.
They already have this. Referees wear an earpiece that tells them when to start rounds or if a foul happened. They can have a replay shown on the monitors if they want it. They can also talk to someone from the UFC sitting cage side. They just always take the path that favors the UFC the most. If the ref Herzog had taken a point from Gane for eye poking it might have caused the fight to be a DQ instead of a NC. Instead he warned Gane early in the fight to keep his fingers closed and then when Gane kept poking he and the doctors kept pestering Aspinall to continue as if nothing happened.

Hardy alleged he was fired from the UFC over that incident.

Howie Booth was removed from judging during a card (UFC 305) after his scores for a Tai Tuivasa fight.

Doesn't get any clearer than the interviewer trying (for once) to press Dana on fixing eye pokes and getting the "who the fuck cares" response.

So I watched Aniki's vid on Aspinall, Jones and Ngannou, and I wanted to know what is the UFC's HW line of succession, so I charted it out
Update: I added the super champion nonsense of the early UFC, and I tracked the lineal one using Fighting Matrix's claim that Shamrock is the first heavyweight champ (and keeping with the "beat the man" principle which makes the chart more interesting in my opinion)

mma champ champ (2).jpg

Velasquez became the ufc champ for the second time in 2012, but became the lineal champ when he defended the belt in a rematch against Silva (Bigfoot) in 2013

Tom is the biggest crybaby in MMA today. Day 3, and he is still whining about his eye (which doctors have cleared) and having his dad make statements in interviews. Really making Belal look like a bonafide hardass here. Social media reception of him has totally tanked where even staunch supporters are finding it difficult to rally behind him. Dude needs to stop posting about his eye (or in general for an while) and carry on with recovery.

The infamously fickle fanbase made up of retards like nigger Okoye and MMAJoey will forget this the next time he fights and knocks someone out. Who give a shit about social media reception?

I only do when it’s funny and watching such a rabid fanbase turn on their guy, as fickle as they might be, never ceases to solicit a chuckle out of me. Again, I think the entire heavyweight division sucks and that includes the two fighters I do like, Lewis and Tuivasa. Both are niggers, but one is a drunk nigger on a huge losing skid.

I hope Tom continues to whine about everything. At this point, I’m honestly curious to see how long it’ll go on

By "whine about everything" do you mean making a couple posts and releasing a behind the scenes video? I imagine he would be less defensive if the a significant part of the fanbase/media didn't shit on him immediately after the fight. I don't think his own fanbase turned on him. Lots of the Jon Jones types were 'praying on his downfall' and took the opportunity to crap on him, and the UFC talking heads went along with Dana's narrative.

I'll agree with you if he's still making the pokes the focus of his posts a month+ afterwards. For now, according to his dad his eyesight is still fucked up in both eyes:

The posts, the video, the entire Jones saga. He has done a lot of whining.

Does Jon Jones have any real fans, even among other fighters? In the aftermath of the poke, all of the “Bones would’ve murdered Tom” posts I saw seemed like pure ragebait. One of the more funny things I saw was Aljo stating that he believes Tom is milking it. Rich, but hey, if there’s a guy who knows anything about acting/milking it…

Considering what the speculative damage might be (commotio retinae or whatever), and especially if true, reasonable to believe he’ll be dialing it in. If he’s actually hurt, fair enough. Just remember, he was still actively speaking on Jones well after being crowned champion.

Jones is a huge faggot too, but him changing his profile picture in his socials to a little rubber ducky with an eyepatch over the right eyes is the kind of shithousery that makes me laugh.

Mostly individuals who want to attach themselves to "the greatest" or something like that. Same type of people who attach themselves to Floyd in boxing. Aljo is in full pick me nigger mode. Man is desperate to be liked since his entire legacy has been crapped on by his long time friend's workrate.

Social media reception
It's nowhere as bad as it was with Pereira after his loss to Ank; he was actually a massive fan favorite to the extent where he started outgrowing the sport with his social media presence collaborating with k-pop singers and shit, then faded into complete obscurity after that loss.

Before the Gane fight has even started Aspinall got booed out. The casual MMA fanbase is extremely tribalistic, most US casuals will just root for the American guy, most darkoids with skin browner than the inside of an eggshell and wiggers will just go for the nigger/brown/muzzie in this order of priority automatically when they have to pick a guy. Aspinall was never particularly well liked among superficial fans of the sport and at the peak of his post-Blaydes 2 momentum I still remember shitloads of "1-1; he just quit vs Blaydes and faked it because he was losing, look at this 15 year old video where his form is shit, he needs to beat 36 more guys in the top 10 before he's deserving of the Jon fight, etc." posts.

It's not really his fanbase turning against him, the sub-70 iq narrative has just exclusively shifted towards the eye poke so you're seeing more instances of one particular brand of retardation, that's probably the only thing that changed.

Was he? All I remember is him answering interview questions asking him about Jones as dismissively as possible, always saying he never cared for the Jones fight just wanted the belt. Might have missed it though, I don't remember him "Hello Jon"-ing after getting the undisputed title.

I remember when Volkanovski was public enemy number 1 in the UFC for having a very close rematch fight against Max Holloway and getting the decision. Fake champ, he sucks, he’s really boring and bad…took him almost getting choked out by Ortega and dogging his way out of it to then beating him up to get some respect back. Wait a second, this guy is actually pretty good as a fighter. Now he’s loved.

Idk what is driving the sub 70iq retardation and internet tough guy syndrome online (“he’s a pussy”, yeah alright mate I’m sure you are much tougher), but part of me thinks it’s the gambling. This sport has really pushed the gambling aspect on mma fights these last years and there are a lot of gambling degenerates who just want their parlay to hit nowadays.

Funny now because I think the UFC is promoting Stake now and they are getting class actioned. The famous “Drake is putting 500k on this fighter” might come to bite him in the ass.

The fact that the bumbling moron Dana White actually said that, with such emphasis and in such an unruffled manner no less, is incredibly fucking infuriating.
Imagine being Aspinall's father and hearing the cretin say that. I would be absolutely livid and calling him out for being the buffoon he is in a very public manner.

It's absolutely wild that so many UFC fans ostensibly goes to bat for both Dana White and Ciryl Gane (and Jon Jones, amongst others of less savory character). It's absolutely flabbergasting how that's even possible.
This is one of those moments where there's really only one correct take, and so many idiots still somehow end up regurgitating the nitwit takes of Dana White and his sycophants.

I've read up a bit on Dana White since my last comment here, and apparently the very impetus of the UFC has its roots in Dana White's shady dealings with the Boston mafia. It just goes to show what a schmuck he is. That someone as useless as him has stumbled his way into notoriety and money is very disappointing, to say the least.

Dana White has always been an unscrupulous fuck, but at least he used to be competent at his job. He really just doesn't give a shit anymore, but I'm not sure that there's anyone in the company who would be able to replace him, as shit as he now is.

Read into the crypto and Reebok deal he cut, that basically went towards the walking tomato.
