I rarely see people advocate for the total abolition of the programs. Generally it is curtailing what can be purchased and making sure the people receiving it should be receiving it.

I am unwilling to bend on the idea that if your food is being paid for by taxpayers you can forgo regular consumption of pop tarts and pepsi.
