UFC has had multiple companies offer them better gloves. Including Wittman's gloves that are better than the Pride design. They turned them down because UFC wants to own the gloves exclusively. So to save money we instead get an eye poke or two each card now. Including a few eye pokes ruining main events for PPV cards. We've had multiple championship fights get ruined because of eye poking.

You can blame the fighters and referees. But UFC gloves are awful and feel like you have carpal tunnel the second you try to make a fist in them.

Don't forget they changed the gloves from the new ones to the old ones because Jon Jones complained about them and some people pointed out they weren't getting as many KOs (padding was the same amount as old ones). They have bent over backwards for this nigger over the years.

Volkov may be the most cursed contender of all time. This is his 3rd title shot denied over some nonsense:

1st time was when he demolished Derrick Lewis for 14 minutes and 40 seconds before eating a wild hook that flatlined him.

2nd time was when he beat Cyril Gane only to get robbed

now the 3rd time when he beat Jailton Almedia to secure the next up spot for a belt only for Gane to activate the infinite title shot glitch by getting a NC out of what should have been a DQ.
 
Gane realised his tippy-tap striking wasn't going to do fuck all to Tom so he just eye poked him so he wouldn't get put to sleep. Trashweight continues to be trash.

Dern gassed at the end of round one and got taken down multiple times but i guess the UFC wants her as champ rather than the cross-eyed lesbian.

It was also very nice of the UFC to fly those two fat fucks in the prelims to Abu Dhabi from the parking lot of an Applebees in Alabama to have their fight in front of a paying audience. How in the blue fuck are either of those guys on the roster of the biggest MMA promotion in the world?

Remember when Derrick Lewis said that he’d throw some eye pokes and some kicks to the nuts just because the rules will allow for you to do so? Eye for an eye, nut for a nut. If Ass-pinall’s eye doesn’t come out looking like Belal’s in a few weeks, he’s a pussy. That was one of the worst numbered events of recent memory but I’m very glad it happened in Abu Dhabi.

Irritates me to no end that Dana opted for the immediate rematch. No one really wants to watch Gane fight. It should’ve been Volkov v Aspinall to begin with.

Damage to the cornea is hard to diagnose just off of looking at it even for an actual physician, you usually need shit like tracer dyes to actually know the extent of the damage.
Guy's cornea could be full of abrasions that make it literally impossible to keep it open due to the body's reflexes; when the ringside doc takes a single look at it he's essentially forced to make a decision in a couple seconds, at that point he isn't equipped to properly diagnose anything, just looks and if it isn't completely twisted, broken, or mangled beyond recognition he goes "welp, you're good to go I guess". Not to mention obviously the physician (despite technically being impartial) is pressured to make a decision that doesn't lead to the end of the fight.

Also the "well I guess he wasn't a true warrior because he didn't keep fighting using echolocation after 25 nutshots and blind in both eyes" talk is really asinine if you want people to treat MMA like an actual sport. Fouls need to be punished, deducted points, purse, or both, Hand out DQs for particularly egregious cases like this one, where the frog eating nigger was warned two times for it already, the one where he eyepoked the takedown attempt away earlier in the fight was bad enough as is. Not to mention there shouldn't be NCs at all for eye pokes; there are fighters who have had 0 in 53 fights and people like Jones and Lewis who hand them out like candy during halloween, it isn't an unavoidable consequence of the sport that just needs to be accepted. Sure, you could get gloves that make it physically impossible, but maybe if you pride yourself upon being the most technical striker in the division you could use that deep technical ability to keep your fucking shit stained nigger fingers upright when you're fighting for the belt, at least?

The Dana/DC narrative is also pretty fucking gay. They are obviously reducing Aspinall's stock while glazing Gane ahead of the contract renegotiation coming up after the next 2 fights, the guy teasing the transition to boxing probably didn't help. It's Ngannou 2.0, except gayer, somehow. They have this exciting, agile, massive KO artist heavyweight talent and they fuck him over with the Jones fiasco and now this.
 
How TKO hasn't given Dana the boot is astounding. His reaction to dirty fighters is "the other guy is a pussy" and there's video of him teeing off on his missus.

Add to that the fact that he still has the slanging and banging mentality when MMA is trying to establish itself as a mainstream sport.

Agreed. I just think both guys suck. The entire HW division sucks. The rules suck. The gloves suck. The judging is beyond the point of sucking. Dana White fucking sucks. I think I only tune in because of force of habit and the fact that I am a degenerate gambler
 
I just really wish someone a bit more autistic than me made a compilation of all the nutshots, eyepokes, hammers to the back of the head, headkicks while the other's grounded, etc. Gane, Imavov, and all the other MMA Factory faggots have done in their careers and just made Dana watch it Clockwork Orange style, I wonder if he still said it was unintentional. Shady fucking gym, every single fighter of theirs just coincidentally happens to fight extremely dirty. They also have a history of leaking sparring footage which is extra homosexual.
