I was thinking the shutdown was Schumer and co. trying to save their seats by capitulating to progressives, but they might be trying to incite riots (again).

- from what I can tell, the station owner, John Catsimatidis, has recently been putting pressure on his show hosts to tow the line that Sliwa needs to drop out so Cuomo has more of a chance, and Sliwa is really pissed off about this, most of the show hosts seem to be doing this now, except for Anthony Cumia, who doesn't believe Sliwa can win, but hasn't said he should drop out either.

Sliwa goes so far as to accuse the station of fomenting potential violence against him and his wife by putting the idea in the head of some nutcase listener that Mamdani can only win if Sliwa doesn't drop out, it's a very contentious interview.

I'd rather US actually produce enough of them that such question can be realistically entertained without compromising US' supplies. As of now, US policy will have to revolve around this little test for two decades.

Won't really work, this isn't 2020. Trump isn't using conventual methods to fight the media war like he did in 2020.

The US has not been fighting yemen since 2015. The US provided refueling and intelligence to the Saudi/UAE/Yemenite coalition since 2015 and stopped in 2021 when Biden took the Houthi off the list of terrorist groups. US only got directly involved in 2024.
