STRATEGIC REPORT: Current State of Venezuela’s Air Defense System
Executive Summary: Venezuela’s air defense is in critical condition: over 60% of the radar fleet is non-operational, combat aviation flies sporadically, and drug trafficking networks exploit uncovered areas.

External assistance efforts from China and Iran have been partial and selective, aimed at protecting political power rather than national sovereignty. (Control Ciudadano, 2020; Infodefensa, 2023)

MSI2 Operational Capacity Rating (0–10): 2/10
Radar Coverage: 1/10
Interception/Alert Capability: 2/10
Internal Morale/Cohesion: 3/10
External Support: 4/10

Transparency Statement

This report relies on direct testimonies and verified communications from active personnel within the Bolivarian Air Force, highlighting operational decay and manipulation within the air defense system. Informants’ identities are withheld for security reasons. Their inputs have been cross-checked with technical data, maintenance records, international reports, and reliable open sources. The aim is to shed light on a critical situation jeopardizing regional stability and hemispheric security.

Operational Assessment

More than 50% of JYL-1 and JY-11B radars are out of service due to a lack of spare parts. SU-30MK2 operations are severely restricted. Only a few F-16s remain operational, and AT-27s are used exclusively for training. The K-8W Karakorum fleet operates at less than 30%, lacks air-to-air radar, and is symbolically used for anti-drug missions. Air coverage is limited to Caracas and La Orchila, areas directly under political high command protection. (Infodefensa, 2023; Jane’s Defence Weekly, 2022)
...

Assessment of Iranian Drones

Venezuela operates Iranian Mohajer-2 drones (locally known as “Harpy”) and Mohajer-6, used exclusively for surveillance missions in Caracas, Maracaibo, and La Orchila. Although some models can carry ammunition, their use has been limited to observation and internal propaganda operations. The fleet suffers from low technical availability and is not integrated into CODAI’s network, unable to cover key operational zones like Zulia or Apure. (Qods Aviation Industries, 2023)

"...So that's why exercise is fascism!"

...I get what you're saying but I don't get what's the point of adding this to the discussion...? Are you suggesting people these days could never ever forever balance strong nutrition and a good degree of exercise or something, because it's historically impossible, or what?

people should appreciate the modern world. I think there's a real lack of connection to the past on this site, people seem to not have a personal history of real conversations with old people growing up. the world we live in is amazing despite all the bad stuff. it's just different bad stuff, there's always bad stuff. all of our problems are solveable with hard work and determination, exactly the same values that people here say they admire in the past.

also specifically about exercise - excercise for fitness is *nothing* like backbreaking relentless labor that must be done if people are going to be clean and fed and safe.

Wanted to be snarky and jokingly ask which one is a bigger strain on a healthcare system, or, say, in a world with scarcity, but I will instead point out that the ones with supposed enviromental concerns and anticapitalist sensibilities support the "CONSUME! Be fat as fuck, get fatter, queen"/"health at any size" mentality.

yeah those people are suicidal lunatics

Oh boy, the communist is pro-nuclear too -

(i'm pro-nuclear, but commies running nuclear is ehhhhhh.....😬)
In 1986 retarded communists fail to boil water with magic rocks at Chernobyl, accidentally creating the perfect medium for the globalist death cult to finally succeed in strangling the world's energy growth. 40 years later, as the hippies they mindfucked into choking the world to death finally start to die off, they're trying to recreate the situation.

(side note: from searching to check the date it seems the ukraine has lost their war on renaming chernobyl to chornobul or whatever dumb bullshit they wanted to pretend it has always been called)

That lack maintenance, nothing is this shithole has been mantained, not even their own weapons of war, i expect 70% of those missiles explode before they are even launched.
Venezuela's most modern air defense batteries are S-300s, which have never been particularly good against anything with rudimentary stealth, whether or not there is any electronic warfare going on. Their Buks and S-125s are even less capable - the S-125's in the first Gulf War were pretty useless. A few EF-111s and E6s would jam them and then their radars would get bombed so non-stealth aircraft could operate. The F-117As just ignored them and flew where they wanted. And Saddam had half again as many missiles backed up by one of the largest air forces in the world.

Wow, rude.

Sure, I'll curse that son of a bitch. Supposing that he exists, he's presumably a demonic entity of some kind and he'll roast in the lake of fire forever whether I will it or not.
But here's hoping for some extra hot coals.
Good to see you’re not a jeet. That profile picture had me a little leery.

Speaking of jeets, Nikki Haley’s son and Indian-“British”-“American” Marxist Mehdi Hasan are feuding

It will take US 417 years to make enough of their interceptors to counter those 5000 missiles. Well, technically 429 years if we want to replenish the losses in Iran war. That's assuming they even intercept the missiles, because they don't always succeed (though it still has a very high success rate).

The 12 day war with Iran cost USA nearly $2 billion, and US wasn't even fighting for all of those days.
Aside from what was already said about THAAD not being the tool for this job, the reason the US was so gung ho about using it in this situation is the system had never had an actual combat test. This was a R&D situation and the interceptors were being launched to verify things an all sorts of situations - thet were letting some missiles get into space (no one had ever shot down one at full altitude before in a combat situation), some were shot down very early, etc. Nothing required THAAD to be used, Aegis from the Arliegh Burkes were enough.

The trickle of interceptors was because stockpiles were full, not really because they couldn't ramp production.

It was really impressive because for decades everyone has been insisting "you can't shoot a bullet down with a bullet". Turns out you can, and the US's multiple approaches all work well. Hell, we learned you can shoot down Russia's "untoppable" hypersonic missiles with old versions of the lowly Patriot, and fairly reliably without the firmware update they came up with to make that reliable in Ukraine.

Yeah that seems about right, is an open secret here, i've spoken with some military guys and they go off about how shitty the situation is for them if you let them talk a little bit

Jesus thats one rotten jeet, at least Nalin looks Italian, the other looks like a forbidden cross of a jew, a pakistani and a chink plus some cyraxx genes into the mix, another win for physiognomy.

Ballistic missiles are not the same thing as anti-aircraft missiles. Iran did not shoot down any Israeli or American planes.
My point is that US's production lines remain inadequate. Non-American anti air worked plenty well to make US struggle for air supremacy in Yemen. It was such a humiliation that Trump ordered all attacks stopped so he could try to negotiate for peace. Biden's admin also failed. Could US do better? Probably. But if Yemen is any indication, they'll go in, get kicked out, and declare victory. (Yemen's still attacking ships in the Red Sea, btw, so US intervention under Trump and Biden didn't even solve that, which is LEAGUES of a bigger problem than Venuazela). Also, the numbers cited are relevant if US intends to do a ground invasion. If they don't, then US will pussy out and it's all just pointless money wasting. "Oh, look at me, I spent $1 billion dollars on another war, instead of doing anything about Judges making it legal for trannies to rape women. Aren't I the best? No new wars, though. Just for Israel. And Yemen. Oh, well, I have to do South America too. Stop rape of women? Nah, better bomb some shithole some more."
