What is the actual debate question this thread is based on? Or is this just going to be a circlejerk of self-righteousness?
For example: “Is it appropriate to call someone underage engaging in what they consider to be consensual sexual intercourse with many different people a slut for doing so?” is a
very different question to “Is it appropriate to call an underage rape victim a slut?”
Only one of those hypothetical example debate questions has scope for a useful discussion involving
statistics of certain happenings, as well as changes
to make certain happenings less consequential while accepting that yes,
teenagers can and do sleep around but that they
do it a lot less today because… well experts are still debating that too!
On the other hand, unconditionally refusing to willingly consent to having sex with someone is the very opposite of slutty behaviour, and therefore, being raped is quite possibly the unsluttiest thing which can happen to anyone, irrespective of their age, common sense says there’s not a lot of useful debate to be had there.
