A true zero help zero guides/vids run of Silksong for him would easily be 100+ hours might even just be impossible for him to actually beat the game alone or at least get to act 3. Like you say he just refuses to get into the game and just flat out ignores dialogue and what items do. Of course there is nothing wrong with not being able to beat games but when you are "one of the best overall gamers in the country" I mean....

He really is a unicorn when it comes to the different levels of gamers with his low level of skill combined with his insane time spent gaming compared to everyone else. Even if you think he is at least "average" cause he beat the souls games just remember he used to grind offstream and use guides back in the demon/dark souls days and used stuff considered "cheese" in almost every run.

Phil always sucked at Pokémon. It’s one of the basic ass RPG you can get. Just make your starter your main, over level it, and you can bulldozer almost anything (even it it weak to something). It’s sad that Phil sucks at a child game.

One thing people have to realize when it comes to Phil & fighting games...

He likes the older ones because he just uses top tier and/or broken characters and his only goal is stomping people who don't know how to counter those tactics. He did it in MvC1, MvC2, CvS2, SF2T, etc.

In newer games, top tier characters require more skill than Phil has and he can’t execute for shit.

Most of his takes on things are nonsensical. I think I figured out why - he wants the attention that being edgy gives you, but doesn't want the negative attention, which leads him to also be milquetoast.
