Having worked in the past in "downtown" areas where parking is heavily limited, the thought of having meter maids gunning down owners of illegally-parked cars makes me smile.

r/JoeRogan is the most reddit subreddit there is. It highlights the fundamental problem with the entire site.

The idea is that if something is very popular, the subreddit for that thing will reflect its fanbase's opinions. If the posters on r/FOTMslopgame are complaining about the new glup shitto skin, it must mean that the players of FOTMslopgame really hate the glup shitto skin. This is valuable information and the devs can act accordingly.

Let's apply that logic to Joe Rogan.

The users on r/JoeRogan hate joe rogan. They hate all of his guests, they hold the exact opposite of his political views. Every post is talking about how he's irresponsible, he's the worst, his guests are stupid, etc. Any comment in support of him gets downvoted into the shitter. Anybody looking at r/JoeRogan would come to the conclusion that this podcast has pissed off all of its fans and is about to die. This has been the state of the subreddit for 5 years minimum.

Meanwhile....

Joe Rogan has the most popular podcast in the world by a large margin. He gets tons of listeners, is friends with lots of people, sells loads of supplements to people who support his views, and political candidates are begging to be let onto his platform.

That one subreddit is the perfect microcosm for the website as a whole. It's nothing but a place for angry leftists to give their opinion on whatever comes after the r/ and somehow has had the reputation of being a good way to gauge what a community feels about things.

There is nothing to grapple with though. People being super rich is good for them I guess and sucks for me, doesn't mean I need the government to take 90% of their shit. I know I'll never make the next amazon or whatever, but it really doesn't sit right with me that a majority wants the government to come in and basically take most of your liquid wealth because you had good birth circumstances.

Might be because I also do not trust anything ran by humans to just not fuck it all up in the end.

Good fucking God how does anyone see this in a US Mayoral debate and think it's acceptable? They are literally just asking where they would go expecting everyone to say fucking Israel ready to pounce on someone who doesn't say it so they can immediately call them antisemitic, just for simply daring to choose to visit somewhere else before Israel. Really? Antisemitic just because of that? What difference does it make where the fuck they would visit anyway?

I noticed that Zohan or whatever the fuck his communist name is did an interview on Fox News the other day and the dumb bitch hosting the show was just asking him about Israel the whole time. What. The. Fuck.

I vaguely remember that episode. He had a mother figure who was all militant about keeping the guy deaf. The episode's struggle was in the doctors being forced to NOT cure something out of respect for the patient's wishes, even as they watched the patient get manipulated like that. Or something along those lines. I dunno, it's been years since I torrented the series.
