The parties really didn’t switch, the south is what switched. A good amount of southern states, which were once the richest states during the slavery days due to the emphasis on produce, became among the poorest, so the democrats did what they always do and followed the money to the coasts. They’re still more or less the exact same party they were 200 years ago, just with different venues
That seems to imply that states get financially well off under Republicans, after which Democrats take over and burn it to the ground
"It's a very, very expensive to pay off poll."

its retardedly easy to rig polls. kamala ran out of money because she did retarded shit like giving beyonce half a million dollars to show up at her georgia rally. that's what her staffers were busy working on like it would be some groundbreaker.
turned out literally nobody gave a shit and it didnt matter.
You missed the key word "a". The prediction market is essentially a poll, but one where everyone who votes in the poll are using real money with the expectation of making money because they were right. If the poll has a market cap of 10 billion dollars and Harris was losing by 5 points, her campaign would have to spend a billion dollars swaying that poll and they will not get their money back if she doesn't actually win.

Which if you're fully delusional like her team was you would be convinced that you would get your money back, and probably throw more money at the poll then you actually have. Probably how she ended up so deep in debt.

I wonder if voting would be better if you had to pay like $100 to vote, which could be waived if you paid your taxes

This is very important. I've heard speculation that this could have doubled the price of goods shipped to the US if the US would have agreed to this tax.

Which countries will agree to this? As I don't see China doing so and like 90% of goods come from there.

I thought it was because she was pretty unpopular due to her terribly parroting whatever Trump said on any given day with no original thoughts or policies of her own. Of all the 2020-2022 MAGA bandwagons, hers was the most vapid and transparent.
She lost with the magical fraud number of 49.5% after the Maricopa County fuck fuck games. She's popular with MAGA and is hated by the RINO's and McCain's that run the Republican political machine in the State.

do their reaserch
Interesting choice of words. Are people that "do their research" based on incomplete information and unknowable future states of variables more likely to be correct. The answer is of course neither yes or no, but unknowable - unless whoever was over betting has other means to manipulate the future state of the variable, called rigging, practically what the Mafia did and still does in sports. And what Lord Miles likely did, scamming his followers

I have no sympathy for someone who CAN clearly retire, SHOULD clearly retire, and have been called upon to retire not doing so simply because of their ego.
Agreed completely, this is such a major problem with the "boomer" (I cant think of a better word unfortunately) generation, greedily holding on by the rotting skin of their corpse fingers. I deal with this all of the time professionally.

I don't know about you, but 2000's-tier racist banter from teenagers is not as concerning as full grown adults consistently wishing death upon their opponent's children. There's a difference.

You know I say racist shit all the time, but I obviously like you and don't hate black people as a whole. I reckon most people here are like this, seeing all the love for Stephen Miller despite the general Jew hatred.
But at the same time, he's not calling for direct violence as far as I can tell. Jay Jones's rhetoric has more malice than a CoD lobby, but it's still within the limits IMO. And yes the two bullets one guy you hate is an ancient joke at this point, he's probably serious, but this ain't the UK.

Now of course if he doesn't want polite politics, he better not kvetch when everyone else calls him a nigger and hopes he gets to taste the fruits of his policies. After all, maybe it'd get him to change his stance on how the world should work :)

Maybe you hold your nose vote for a faggot like Vivek or a cunt like the Virgina nigress when its nice weather and in and out of your polling in 15 minutes. Do you do that when its raining outside and an hour wait to go vote for people who will push for your replacement?
Sure, but parties aren't policy. If the GOP loses running jeets, that's the good outcome. It hopefully leads to them not running jeets.

Cheryl Hines was on Megyn Kelly's show today because she has a book out which means she'll be on all the shows, but it's from 50:00 on and includes some Curb talk. At 1:31:00 they talk about Bradley Whitford, the fag from The West Wing and also the bad guy in Billy Madison, acting like Cheryl should divorce RFK for dare being aligned with Trump:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=taB72PJ6qKg
This covers the first part where she talks about first entering politics and feeling personally attacked but has learned to get over it (you should listen to the full episode above though):

https://youtube.com/watch?v=RHHuO17yHLo
She's actually seems much more level headed than I ever thought, I was wrong in thinking she would try and sabotage Trump and RFK or create drama and it seems she really took those snubs and insults to RFK when he was on the democrat plantation to heart and she says Jeannette Rubio is her closest friend of the spouses but she's amazed that everyone likes each other and it's not what she expected politics to be. So to win in politics, don't be politics.

Tig Notaro details falling out with Cheryl Hines over RFK Jr.: 'I needed to step away'

tig.jpg

Comedian Tig Notaro is lamenting the end of her friendship with actress Cheryl Hines.

The duo once cohosted the podcast Tig & Cheryl: True Story, which featured the celebrities having conversations about documentaries.

"But Cheryl's married to Bobby Kennedy Jr. When he was announcing his run, I just felt like I needed to step away, because there are beliefs that were like a gnat on the arm years ago that were getting further into the spotlight."

"My friendship with Cheryl predated her marriage to Bobby," Notaro said. "He was in environmental law. And, again, other beliefs he had were like a gnat on my arm. But then it started to grow, and Cheryl wanted me to hear Bobby out. They had these good ideas, and I was like, 'I can't, I can't, I can't.' I just didn't trust it. And then he endorsed Trump, and then it just got hard."

"I think where it has led is...," Notaro trailed off, shaking her head. "It's not my world. It's a hard pass."

She added, "You're okaying a particular ride for this country to go on."

Ok one more post. Libertarians are dying because economically they wanted Tariffs pay for government. Trump took that away.

The only other thing they care a DAMN about is weed. Just THC. They've mostly won that through the blue state force. Their only next move will be to legalize more drugs, that's all they care about. Drugs and getting high. They'll go like the druggie from weed to pills to 8balls, natural selection. They got beat out by both sides on their only issues.

Really all they cared about was THC being used by everyone like Brave new world soma, and they pretty much have that with gummies and cbd. Their time is over.

The LP has been the party of liberaltarian evil useless turds of the 'right'
Oh, I certainly wouldn't dispute this. Coolidge would think the modern Libertarian Party are a bunch of fags, not only because too many of their leadership figures (like Chase Oliver) literally are fags, but also because they're basically Democrats who are embarrassed to call themselves Democrats/running a psyop to take away Republican votes under a different banner. I think it's an interesting fact of history that basically all the libertarians who weren't pozzed lolcows & actually wanted to get shit done (Coolidge, Barry Goldwater, Milton Friedman, Ron Paul at the peak of his relevance, etc.) just became Republicans.
That book definitely couldn't have been written that way today, the alternate history (particularly Alternatehistory.com) community now is a bunch of unhinged shitlibs and outright communists who think reconstruction should've ended with a genocide of Southern white men and they wouldn't accept a Southern victory timeline that isn't either a cartoonish Wolfenstein style dystopia or leads to a slave revolt that then somehow leads to Wakanda.
Also Turtledove himself is a major sufferer of TDS and, in more recent years, has published a book sneeding about Trumpism & 'Christian nationalism' with people like Mike Pence & Rick Santorum being the ones to carry Trump's supposed Dark Age legacy. (Damn, talk about stupid political takes that age like milk left out on the surface of Venus...) Suffice to say he'd probably shoot his past self for daring to write Guns of the South in the first place.

Better to reign in hell than serve in Heaven.

Its politics historically an interesting comparison - TDR was a New Liberal that used the assassination of McKinley to introduce socialist policies through the GOPs platform while Trump is a classic business progressive that used the Democrats going full retard into International Socialism under Chieftain Obongo through the GOP platform to steer the country away from socialist policies.
Somebody should write a comparative paper on the subject
"It's Okay When We Do It - A Study In Unusual Republicans"
brainworms being nuttier than squirrel shit was fine, but endorsing orange man?

At this point, how far are we away from a Federal Judge just declaring the shutdown illegal and that ALL funding must be restored?

Doing so would open Pandora's box to give Trump authority to flat out ignore judges going forward and get that judge impeached since that would be the equivalent of a judge saying niggers are exempt from paying taxes and it's not rape if the rapist is a MTF tranny

Western countries will. I think the tax is placed on all shipping costs and methods, so it would affect all imports and exports.
That seems like a shit idea for countries that import everything because they sabotaged their own production ability. Doubly bad for Canada because they are having a spat with their biggest trading partner and overseas trade is not filling the gap

The whole thing is insane. It's suicidal for any country. But we've seen countries all over the west commit economic suicide in the name of the Green eco cult. I'm sure it's being pushed and funded by China and other adversaries as part of their efforts to rot the west and pave the way for their takeover.
