The last actually interesting Xbox game was Hi-Fi Rush, and then they shut down the studio that gave them that. Good riddance Xbox, they should update their controller firmware to work on PS5 since the controller is the only good thing about the entire brand.

Its because of this...

Xbox Game Showcases public stunts, they focused on just winning the conferences from PlayStation. They greenlit games just to announce it at these conferences/showcases. Their showcases tried to sway customers to Xbox, you can see from Xbox E3 2014 some most of these games got cancelled. They focused on winning showcases, news cycles, good PR. Basically all these showcases are PR stunts.

They was never interested in spending money on new games.

I predicted during the mid 2010s that Microsoft would have one more traditional generation before going full publisher and partnering with pc companies to make Xboxes for them, but I never could've predicted they would be stupid enough to kill the infinite money glitch that is the Call of Duty franchise by putting it on the gaming equivalent of Netflix.

Tldr: a new Xbox next gen console is now uncertain and may not even come out.
I think we've all seen the writing on the wall for a very long time now. If there was a single event that I could point to where Xbox entered its death throws, it's this:

Which, funny enough, is about half of its lifespan ago by now. Original Xbox was released in 2001, and the brand was more or less healthy until they made all sorts of awful decisions that were backtracked at one point or another with Xbox One. That was 2013, twelve years after 2001, and and now it's 2025, twelve years after 2013. Incidentally, Xbox One is still getting new games, ironically making it the longest-lasting Xbox of all time. So, going forward, the brand has been in an inescapable pit longer than its been something really special. That's what you get when you've got bad leadership that drove out all your talent and replaced them with soulless, clout-chasing Indians that focus more on personal pride than creating something great. It hadn't worked out for Ubisoft either, lol.

Oh hey, remember how about a year and a half ago, there were articles about Game Pass having no growth, but they were raising the prices anyway? I don't think there's much of a way to right this ship anymore. Xbox's last hurrah will be that Series S 512gb is the cheapest way to play Grand Theft Auto VI. Beyond that, who's going to buy one over the alternatives? For any reason, other than replacing a dead one?

Pass cods are & 2025 are on gamepass but next cod & 2026 won't be on gamepass after they learned about gamepass canabalizing sales.

As you said, it's incidental, not because of the Xbox One itself, but arguably because of COVID-19 shortages affecting supplies for PS5/Xbox Series consoles and its larger player base thanks to live service juggernauts like Fortnite and GTA Online. I take it money and supply chains has to do with how/why the last generation is STILL supported.

Not anymore, lol. I think it went up to $399 which was the price for an Xbox Series X a couple years ago. So, you're paying more for less. And that's not even accounting with the weaker hardware that GTA VI would push to its limits. Would people care? Maybe.

Reading game happening increase for non protected countries.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers in Poland, Ireland, Italy, Germany, and South Korea have all reported that they’ve received the emails today.

The change in these countries is likely related to local regulations on subscription price changes, and it means in Ireland existing subscribers with auto-renew enabled will still be charged at the €17.99 monthly rate, instead of the new €26.99 pricing. Microsoft notes in its email that existing subscribers in these markets will be notified “at least 60 days in advance” of price changes, meaning the changes won’t go into effect for at least two more months.

The halt in price increases in select markets is a change to what Microsoft announced last week. “This updated pricing will go into effect on October 1st for new subscribers, and then at the next billing cycle, likely to be November 4th, for current subscribers,” said Dustin Blackwell, director of gaming and platform communications at Microsoft, in a briefing with The Verge last week.
