Someone I know did question which master was DiscoTek going to use for this, as Sanrio did do a remaster of the film a few years back that did make some edits and added in digital effects in places and it made this guy wonder if that's what DiscoTek was going to use over the original version of the film.
Hopefully those didn't fall through.
I've only seen bits and pieces of the films and I really liked the style of animation, but the 2016 series' CG is so bad it makes it unwatchable. I've only seen an episode out of both seasons, and it just felt like it was enough in both regards. The sound design is pretty bad as well, I get that Dragonslayer's supposed to be loud when it hits but that doesn't mean you should blow out the audio channels every time you blast its sound effect.Anyway, funny how many people discuss Berserk here. Speaking of waiting, I see DiscoTek released the first episode of the Wizard of Oz anime in Japanese with English subs, that's a start!
Who knows, maybe they're just teasing us with this or it'll be an online-only thing.
The new series is pretty baaaaad. it suffers so hard from the poor animation it keep me from enjoying it and being a fan of manga just made the problems glare even harder. I can forgive a show for not having great animtation, if its entertaining enough. But after seeing cgi chibi puck in motion it was off putting. As for the films I've only really watched the first one and I was honestly pretty bored by the end of it. I might give the whole trilogy a proper watch at some point.Sounds like a one-and-done series to me.

I am now fully caught up with Berserk.
Both. I've heavily enjoyed all of Berserk and I look forward to more, but now I can't read it at the breakneck pace I've been going at for the past week.
I'm mostly fine with waiting, it's just gonna kill me. I just gotta take my mind off it and let it build up chapters over time.

I still do, and yes, that was pretty sad to see it fall apart like that (not before I grabbed as many episodes as I could).

I'm not worried for the moment. AFAIK it's off hiatus and was only on hiatus previously because Miura was working on the anime.
It's not a matter of confusion, I'm already caught up with the manga, read it first before starting the anime. It's just me bring lazy and lacking the motivation to watch anime again.
