I get the feeling he saw rape/torture/cheapness/obscurity as virtues in their own right that made movies automatically better, rather than usually challenging aspects whose handling would largely define whether a movie that included them was worth a damn or was just disposable slop made for a half buck profit

You'd be better off watching whatever the top 100 streamed movies in your local senior care facilities are. I don't suggest tormenting yourself with this edgeslop. The vast majority of it is pimply and BO-ridden torture porn. The rest you can find on IMDb's top 250 + clicking around on the first page of Google for "Italian horror movies". And no, I didn't see your follow-up post prior to writing this

Frankly I think googling "top 100 [INSERT GENRE HERE] movies" and going through a couple lists to see what repeatedly comes up as being hyped consistently and for long periods of time is a decent starting point for niggas who want to do some cinematic exploring and when something specifically tickles your fancy in that moment or mood one can further refine the search to shit like "best italian zombie movies of the 1980s" and get a pile thats mostly trash, sometimes enjoyably trash, and every so often a legit good movie in its own right

The most important fucking thing however is to be fucking chill about it and not take it too seriously or pretend you are some refined gourmet of cinema, and ESPECIALLY not to get pissy at others for not sharing your take on these flicks.

I didn't get around to reading the final ~200 pages of the DbD thread but from what I DID read, nah, the way that guy talked, he loved the game and I think what he hated was BHVR. He wouldn't have spent so much time poring over patch notes and obsessing over the meta if he didn't love DbD.

Honestly I have some halfway respect for Varg at least trying to live out the huwyte nationalist life in some hovel in the woods away from the society he hated with his clinically autistic wife and children even if I was 99% sure last I checked he was crawling back to said society every chance he got for its creature comforts and to continue inflicting his bitter spergwalls on social media. Even if he has probably relapsed since then its more than most who claim to believe in this schtick ever do.....and to be honest I really fucking like his old music which probably makes me more biased than I should be. That he now suffers for his vandalism of historic buildings by being tormented by fujoshis for the rest of his life is a harsh but fair punishment.
