*the experts in question being activists in academia and organisations like the ADL

That makes sense, but liberals have a difficulty caring about anything closer than the Kuiper belt. Doing something because its good for the neighborhood does not occur to them.

Reminder this will effect in addition to tech:
  • Farms
  • Gas Stations
  • Resturants
  • Essentially, everything a Teenager should be getting during the summer. But all went to the Indians.

Even the most attractive (read: looks like a white woman) pooja is either from a strange and barbaric culture or is dealing with cognitive dissonance from her jeet parents. I've never met a fully Americanized (read: white-influenced) Indian girl.
 
So it’s not retroactive on jeets already here, nor on OPT students. But does exclude B1 tourist visas from converting to free H1B.

Ok that makes a lot more sense and explains why the tech companies got on board. Still a very good move and not something you’d put on the Fell For It Again hat - but it’s yet another admin EO that falls under the “only works if MAGA stays in power long term”, which worries me. Also it inherently means Millennials and Zoomers are still mostly locked out of their birthright since this still keeps in place the rotten “foreign student to tax advantaged OPT to H1B” pipeline that big tech adores.

literally everything is like that.
if the left takes power again, everything trump did will be undone.
the only way to prevent this is to ensure they never come to power again.

It will affect foreign students when they switch to an H-1B visa after their OPT visa expires.

Honorable mentions to the people in the replies absolutely flipping their lids at the first person who doesn't accept Krassenstein at face value. For some reason, people are really latching onto "uhm, they were technically not soldiers, ergo innocent civilians."
