You're just constantly whipping each other up into a frenzy to satiate what are ultimately your own psychological demons, with absolutely no mitigating or reasonable voices allowed to drag you back to reality.

I agree. And something I think might make people mad, although it really shouldn't because it's the truth. Is the same thing happens here. Thankfully I don't think the ideology here, is as destructive, as the people tricked into trooning out, or letting their kids get trooned out, and all the socialist bullshit.

But it's not something we are immune to either. I really try to not stay stuck in a place where I'm only seeing what one side says.

I think one thing that leads to that phenomenon where you see someone go from one political extreme to another. Might be somewhat because they get stuck in echo chambers. Then they have something happen that finally breaks their world view completely. Then it leads to people questioning everything they every knew, and throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

I don't think it's possible to avoid getting influenced like that online, at least a little. I purposely try to avoid only interacting with people that think like me, or watching videos from people that share my world view. Because even though it's comfortable to stay in that bubble it's not healthy.

Only instead of "look how far we would have been without Christianity" the past couple of decades have proven to me how degenerate we would have been without it acting as a tempering, moral guideline. Society at large has abandoned morals taught by religion because they "hold us back" and spiraled into hedonism and arguing that we should teach kids to be queer as soon as they understand language so we don't "oppress them".

I'm a dad, and my only goal is raising my son to not make society a worse place when he grows up. So my primary line in the sand is "leave my kid alone". That level of "immediate danger" needs to be toned down, but to the trans folx who think my ideas are genociding them, that's a non-starter. We are at an ideological impasse and I don't know how it can de-escalate when the other side thinks we are actively killing them in real life, or are just about to.

My favorite part is how some of the people commenting are downright oblivious to the situation asking why his troon boyfriend hasn't been around on Steam.
Tyler is going to regret he didn't delete his Steam account prior to this, because i guarantee you the prisoners at his super max are going to catch wind of it quickly about his gay furry novels.

I stumbled on this in my tube feed today. I'm not going to connect the dots for Jim in this too much but he makes a good comparison to 911 and finding a passport in the rubble of two huge fucking buildings to we found Charlies the killer and he had several bullets (when technically he only needed one) all engraved with messages conveniently enraging right now. All I'm saying is we are still under a government that blamed a lone gunman for JFK and a magic bullet and found a passport in two 110 story buildings debris.

I'm the same dude, I'm just seriously fucking annoyed to see utter lies being propagated. This guy was MAGA? Blow me. I'm kind of big on facts, even if I myself get them wrong at times. Repeating already disproven lies pisses me off.

It reminds me of the jackasses who insist Heather Heyer died of a heart attack, which is ridiculous bullshit. The autopsy indicates blunt force trauma to the torso by BEING RUN OVER BY A FUCKING CAR. Oh and she had a heart attack too right after that, completely unrelated.

Anyway re Kirk, this is a guy who was entirely willing to talk and to engage his enemies reasonably. Shooting him was the equivalent of shooting a diplomat in international relations. Why? In previous epochs, an act like this would have been universally condemned because it inevitably results in chaos. The awfulness of this is that the assassination is being celebrated and hordes of ghouls are urging further assassinations.

These are not acts in good faith and are impossible to reconcile with civilization itself.

The problem with these retards is, they can only see how the metaphores in a show like Andor apply to the other side. Mon Mothra's speech about truth being lost applies far more to the Biden Presidency than the Trump one. There's way more public discourse and discussion of Trump bullshit than there was under Biden.

In Andor it's about fake narratives about what is going on. The genocide of a planet. Truth is lost. The establishment and left are more aligned with that now. Although Trump is now going along with the lost truth of Gaza and Ukraine. Left still totally onboard with that and own it because it started under Biden and Kamala.
