libshits who larp as constitution loving, free speech supporting, flag waving patriots when its convenient piss me off so much, man. we've seen the sequence of events unfold in real time: one of them murders a conservative for speaking his mind, they celebrate it while still blaming it on us, they get fired or their personal lives messed with because we've had enough, and then they cry "erm, what happened to freedom of speech?" after stirring the pot, holding it over our heads as if they dont understand why we're stooping down to their level. they want us to play fair when they're the ones who never gave a single fuck about free speech, so they dont get to throw it in our faces to double down on their "fascist" rhetoric, especially since they were going to keep going with that playbook anyway.

they've had no problem condoning the murder of all conservatives, why cant they be consistent with that honesty? i was very disturbed, but also relieved by how upfront they were at the initial news, just going full mask off about things they would have kept discrete before because they couldnt help themselves. but when it comes to blaming the right for the killer by calling him a groyper, and now calling US the ones who are suppressing "muh freedom of speech" when we use their tactics against them (inadvertently admitting they're anti-free speech), it goes to show that they truly live in a Marvel movie where they are the Good Guys and we are the Bad Guys, and the Good Guys have to do whatever they can to win. if they kill one of the Bad Guys, they win. then, if the Bad Guy retaliates against the Good Guy, hes still in the wrong... because hes the Bad Guy. they'll lie, they'll play dumb, they'll do whatever they can to frame it as Good vs Bad, not considering the rightwing as human beings and all of the nuances at play. we are Bad, we are full of HATE, and they are Good, so whatever they do to us is justified and self-defense as they're stuck in a perpetual state of victimhood, crying as they strike you in the neck with a bullet.

Reading the discussion around this got me curious. Apparently this year Brad Sigmoon and Mikal Mahdi were both executed by firing squad this year. Mahdi's was considered "botched" by some reports.

Sigmoon was shot by three volunteers at 6:05pm and pronounced dead at 6:08pm, March 7th. A reporter stated he say Sigmoon's chest rising and falling several times during that. (BBC | A)

With Mahdi, he was shot at 6:01pm and pronounced dead at 6:05pm. However, before he died he was heard groaning and at autopsy, not only did the shooters miss his heart, he only had two bullet wounds when three were fired. Apparently the state's pathology report stated "It is believed that two bullets entered through one wound." (SC Daily Gazette | A & Death Penalty Info | A)

I still think Utah could make some money back holding a raffle on who gets to pull a trigger or simply watch.

There are a lot of different ways lethal injection can go wrong and there isn't a "mercy option" to finish the job if it's going wrong beyond just waiting. If they were really interested in a easy, clean execution, they'd just flood the room with nitrogen and wait five minutes. All of the bullshit execution methods (basically the electric chair and anything newer) seem like they're made specifically to get banned for being argued as inhumane.

this is an old site that was started to document the insanity going on at Bay Area protests because the site owner realized that if you didn't live here you weren't seeing it and without extensive documentation weren't likely to believe it.

one of the factors of everything going so loopy over the past ten years is that the more west coast you are the more this has been your reality forever. I grew up with the kind of rhetoric you're describing about Trump being the normal way adults spoke about Reagan. It took me a minute to realize that the difference is that in 1985, that was a minority opinion. It was a minority that had a lot of access to media but did not yet completely dominate media.

Old west coast democrats very much don't realize that things used to function because there was a balance and that balance is gone.

I still find myself referring to them as SJWs sometimes just out of old habit I guess and I laugh at how that's kind of a dated term to an extent which is kind of depressing to think about really lol.
