30-06 is the same diameter as 7.62 / .308 but a much larger casing with much more power. Depending on bullet impact site, it's either going to tear a hole through a large amount of soft tissue, or transfer a huge amount of kinetic energy into bone. I suppose depending on the part of the skull impacted, it could remove the head or just blast a hole through it. In the case of Kirk, while I didn't see the video from what I understand it entered in the neck or upper collarbone area at the neck. Mostly soft tissue, from the sound of it. Also, a 30-06 hasn't lost a lot of energy at 200 yards, in terms of soft tissue damage.

Not if you avoid bughives. Stay out of 10 cities, and not even those entire cities but specific neighborhoods within those cities, and your chances of death by gunshot go down to europe levels.

If the jury pool was always tainted by a case simply being on the news, it would not be possible to try any high profile case. It does end up with the result that you end up with a jury of people who either have been living in a cave for years or people who convincingly enough say they can be impartial despite what they have heard.

I think I could be because journalists fucking lie all the time, but would probably be kicked off the jury for other reasons.

That was 7 years ago, and even the "non-driver" had just gotten his learners permit in the post. It's not ridiculous that he changed his mind after realizing the amount of freedom a car gives especially in a desert state like Utah where major cities are an hours drive away.

Because humans want there to be clear patterns that fit their view of the world. Humans are tribal. Humans seek to categorize and label things they find distressing or confusing in order to fit them into the patterns and tribes we understand. We want to feel vindicated in our view of the world, and build upon that belief by fitting things into the patterns and tribes we understand.

That was also one of my first thoughts about the story. I resolved in fixing on the hope either they would donate it to Charlie's family, or the government and Ackman would just say fuck you we're not rewarding your family. I would hope worse case the Kirk's could sue the family for the windfall.

On the other hand I also get the money is to incentivize people close to the roach to flip on them. So never paying out would remove that incentive for future rats. And why honestly I think they don't make it 10 million dollars. People will be less outraged if the family get's 100k vs 1m, which puts Ackman in a tricky spot I suppose.

We are 10 years behind.
When democrats were busy cancelling people over saying a bad word we were trying to get them to stop.
Now that they are killing and getting even more violent than the last 10 years we are trying to get them to stop and and getting people fired.

The same trannies that were celebrating his death are the same trannies lying and obfuscating now. There is a 100% overlap in the two groups. Theres nothing mysterious about it, their roles could be filled by chat bots and you wouldnt notice the difference.
When youre talking to these people just understand who you are talking to and how little good it actually does.
