I don't know why I couldn't find the clip of it but they did mention on a stream I think on season 2 about how they would be able to get Cobes on the show and they were trying to estimate how many packs of cigarettes would constitute a lifetime supply or an entire room full of cigs something like that.
There's also a moment in Bloodgames with Tay and Sam saying they wished he was there, after getting a TTS referencing him, saying TWU. And Direnc in s4 being a huge fan of Cobes, and she was an alive, of-age, cisgender, non-related female, and a sex worker...

If the trolls never started sending him that shit, he’d be here today.
He'd probably have bought it himself and just had less money for insanely overpriced food hacks. I mean fuck redditors and sending him duster was outright criminal, sending him Everclear was repulsive, but I don't think that even if they had actively tried to get him to quit drinking that it would have slowed him down even a bit.

I mean it from the standpoint of he tried to stop drinking time and again when he was broke but would be sent more liquor
As someone intimately familiar with addiction, I can say this is nothing but a lie we tell ourselves and others during those brief periods where we can see the light. It doesn't matter if the liquor arrives from the heavens or we wait 72 hours until we find $3 worth of change to get back off the wagon, if you don't have a reason to stop killing yourself you're not going to.
What reason did Josh have to stop drinking? His "best friend" was the elderly father of some chick he used to stalk. Things were dark in Josh's world, no matter how much free alcohol he was provided

I think if we want to try and look for a silver lining here, this was probably the best way he (reasonably) could have gone out.
In his sleep, without experiencing a drawn out organ failure arc, with a roof over his head. This is a type of tragedy that occurs all over the world every day to innumerable amounts of people and while it's a shitty way to go cobes probably got off about as easy as anyone can given the circumstances.

This is a death that hit me harder than expected. I was at work Friday knocking the night out literally listening to one of his cooking videos: Spicy Seafood Burger. Yeah. That one.

Cobra was a goof. Had some bad takes, most definitely. But he was endearing. When something pleased me I unironically would say "that's most definitely what the fuck is up". Something about Cobra and videos on the guy just...chilled me out you know? Listening on about LolCows/HorrorCows either has me going two directions: Anger or Anxiety. Not Cobra. I was either chilled out or laughing hysterically. He was one of a kind.

I feel like we saw a lot of ourselves in Cobra. The decline was sad. And it was inevitable. But suddenness of it. His last video complaining about pain. His dad mourning. It made it all so real.

Cobra, I hope you know you're ruling over all of our sad fucking lives. Rock on Cobes. You crazy bastard.

Was Clint his legal caretaker? Im not blaming him for the death of Cobes but if thats the case then he could've had the legal power to force him into an in patient treatment center. You can argue that he would've just continued to drink once he got out, but even a few weeks of sobriety can do wonders for the mind and body.

He could've had the care packages sent to a PO box at the post office and screened them there, removing the hard liquor and dusters. Put him on a diet of beer and wine.

The worst part for me is that none of this was ever tried, he never went to rehab, not even an outpatient one or virtual AA meetings.

I don't know if this has been addressed but trolls used to call wellness checks on Cobes on a regular basis, surprised no one tried to do that after the FB video (as far as I'm aware)
to be fair, he was feeling unwell for a while, there's nothing to suggest that this time was worse than any other. Well, apart for the dying...
