My main complaint with Clint is that he enabled Josh's defiance far too much. I think that was a big reason why Josh became so careless with drinking and his health in general. There were times raising Josh where he needed to put his foot down and maybe things could have been different.

I'm just saying that attempting to cure Josh's alcoholism since we've known him as a streamer is a losing battle. It's like trying to force a lonely loser into therapy, shut up and be a good wageslave. It's not going to work when there's nothing else for them to fight for. You may temporarily solve the short-term drinking battle, but then you're left with a broken angry soul after you've ripped away the rare things that brought them joy and peace.

People don’t get that kids can just leave and never come back. Pushing your child too hard never ever works, Clint did everything as close to perfect as one can get. Not without mistakes, but he always put his son first.

Add to that there’s a website where you can go with a pretty mundane complaint and you’ll be told immediately to go no contact with everyone in your life, Clint did it all right. He should really consider writing a book about how to support your child through the toughest things, all to save them.

Cobes would 100% be alive today if not for the trolls who hastened his demise. If anyone wants to blame anything, there it is. Leave Clint alone.

Clint seems like the type to enjoy the poetry of cremation but if they decide to go with burial I for one will make the trek to sit with him. It'd be cool to do a meetup with some of you dorks that really understand why Josh was relatable and deserving of compassion

If I had to place blame anywhere, it'd be with the people who cared about him and felt that this guy really just fucking needed a buddy but didn't feel compelled enough to reach out. I mean it from the standpoint of he tried to stop drinking time and again when he was broke but would be sent more liquor. It’s not the trolls trolling that killed him, it’s the trolls sending him duster and alcohol that he’d definitely abuse.

Most of normie culture sees giving alcohol to an alcoholic an abhorrent behavior. It’s one thing if the alcoholic has means to drink himself to death, it’s wholly another if his drug of choice is delivered to his doorstep by people hoping he’ll use it to harm himself.

If the trolls never started sending him that shit, he’d be here today.

Not only that, Chauncey (one of the Snake Bones guest hosts) used to be a tour manager and as such he got Gerard Way into Cobra. Chauncey's memorial stream, though I don't have any timestamps as I was watching it live, crying my eyes out of my skull, is full of fantastic nuggets about Cobra lore that haven't been put into any coherent video as far as I'm aware.

See, we can be in agreement about stuff, Clint fucked up. I'm not saying he fucked up when he got him the trailer home (although back when Cobra went to the second apartment I always defended a trailer home would have been fantastic for him then, he wasn't way too far gone and he was somewhat motivated every now and then), I'm saying he fucked up a long time ago, there's no doubt that in the last 2 or 3 years (maybe even more) only a complete miracle would have changed much.
A person like Josh needed way more supervision by someone with two braincells to rub together, even after becoming an adult.

Honestly, I'd go with: "One problem at a time.".
We (Clint, the people around Josh, whoever) were not going to make him happy and change his life around while he was blackout drunk and high huffing duster, that's for sure.
You are not wrong, it would be hard, Josh had a lot of resentment, a lot of fear of the world, a lot of loathing for himself, it could maybe end in a similar outcome, but I wish there had been a strong attempt, even say 2 or 3 years ago in a nearly desperate hail Mary to do something.
Hell, I'd have liked a desperate attempt at anything as recently as whenever he moved to the trailer, that place saw Josh go downhill like crazy.

But you are right, the things that (in one way or another) were killing him were also the things that brought him anything close to joy: drugs, booze and the internet.
 
The Natrona County government has made a statement about Cobra's death.
Sorry if I'm late but there is an active investigation about the circumstances of his death to go with the autopsy.

I don't know why I couldn't find the clip of it but they did mention on a stream I think on season 2 about how they would be able to get Cobes on the show and they were trying to estimate how many packs of cigarettes would constitute a lifetime supply or an entire room full of cigs something like that.

If I recall, there were talks, during the time Cobra had Puff (can't tell you much more specifically when), in fact the poor little lizard was exactly the excuse he used (at least publicly) to not go.
