Newsome pulled the trigger on the Commiefornia redistricting

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/ca...tricting-plan-counter-punch-texas-2025-08-21/

But he may have fucked up a bit in his rush to get the new districts to the vote before November.

https://globalnews.ca/news/11341047/lawsuit-gavin-newsom-redistricting-california/

Commiefornia constitutions says that all bills must have a 30 window where the public can view them and comment. That's too long for Newsome so he used a bill already in the house, something stupid about childcare regulation (No. 323-212A0) gutted it of all other statutes and repurposed the bill number for his redistricting ploy saying that it's not the content of the bill but the bill itself (he means the bill number) that has to be up for 30 days.

Which anyone can see is bullshit.

The law was written (by the Govenator himself btw) to give the public time to understand and comment on the what's in the bill not just the bill number. So some GoP house members have launched a lawsuit to make Newsome give the new bill 30 days.

That will cause some serious issues for Newsome getting the new districts done before the next election in November is already really hard if they judge forces Newsome to give the new distracting bill 30 days before the house can vote on it he won't be able to get the new districts to go into effect before 2026.

The big question is which judge gets the case, is he or she a Democratic shill who will hand wave the obvious Newsome bullshit about bill numbers and let him ram it through in time for the 2026 mid-terms or will they apply the law as it was intended and written.

We will have to wait a few days to see but the GoP asked for an emergency mandamus so this will be pushed forward asap.
It’ll also all be for naught because Texas has already said that if California proceeds with this, they’ll just redistrict again to remove the five Democrat districts left after the first redistricting.

all part of plan got fortify everything for grand end game if it matter.
it was always in cards to redistrict just needed a reason.

Is it correct to say that everyone is in someway bigoted? Like humans naturally are like that hell all animals are like that. Ants for example from one colony will fight ants from another. We have ingroup preference based in race, religion or culture becuase that’s how we are. And every culture is like this, Muslims people tend to live around other Muslims, blacks etc. so where did this notion of “we can all live in harmony if we just stop hating each other” come from? Like Im genuinely curious.
I want to say it came about during the 60s and 70s when you had stuff like the civil rights movement and John Lennon releasing "Imagine."

Well marx basically thought people diveded themselves bassed on class and if he could get people to get over the class divided then we would all see our selves as humans etc.

let me give you an example of america media pushing the pease between races shit.

I my first hand knowelge comes from the 1970s and 1980s pop culture

Being a bigot is an irrational thing, why would you judge someone for the color of their skin? In fact if you looked at society pre chattle slavery you really didnt have the racial model of white asians and blacks.

For once, Ahnold did something worthwhile as a Republican. I tip my hat. I'm still gonna shove him into the forge though because the T-1000 is still very deep in him.

Bigoted as a word is doing overly heavy lifting. Under some definitions, yes, in-group bias is a thing, you can call that a form of bigotry I suppose. But whether this translates into something more than that or not really depends on what's intended by the word bigotry in the first place. It's entirely possible to not act in a manner decided by that in-group preference.

I raise this primarily because of something called a Troll's Truism (Where through vagueness, a statement can be interpreted with a mundane truth or an exciting lie and people will jump between them for rhetorical purposes.) and the possibility this leads into some unintentional motte-and-bailey. I always get leery when there's something of a tautological truth with minimal actual impact on anything being focused on, usually that indicates there's some funny business going on with definitions.
Muslims people tend to live around other Muslims, blacks etc. so where did this notion of “we can all live in harmony if we just stop hating each other” come from? Like Im genuinely curious.
Simply put, we are more than just some genetic profile or skin-color swatch and people noticed over time that people will move out from their in-groups into other groups on occasion. Add individualism as a concept into the mix, and this becomes something of a self-evident thing, assuming we all stopped hating each other, we would all live in harmony. Now we get to demonstrate a Troll's Truism in action.

Smart followup is taking the mundane truth here. It's a logical concept and little more than that. We all know Achmed the Jihadi is not going to integrate into western society and will just cause problems if left to his own devices, so we shouldn't fucking import him and his ilk by the small-boatful no matter how much of a shithole he claims his country is because he will just abuse trust and we've given him no means of proving otherwise. So smart policy is either denying immigration or to have assimilation onboarding programs Achmed has to go to so he doesn't import sand nigger behavior into the host country. Most people, when hearing immigration in a positive light, have this kind of gatekeeping in mind and are naturally thinking not of Achmed the Jihadi but Achmed the Arab Who Filed His Papers And Assimilates. Some dude genuinely looking for a better life in another country can be a genuine asset. Cuban refugees to America basically helped Florida become rock-ribbed Republican and helped Trump get elected after all, the general brush just won't ever look good due to the sufficient amount of exceptions to the rule that exist.

The Dumb/Malicious followup though is to take the exciting lie and go full Blank Slate theory, baking in concepts like the soil being magic or that any country can simply out-nurture whatever bad influences by just immersing people enough. Dumb people are jumping between this and the smart followup because they're stupid and don't know they're doing a stupid. Malicious people however deliberately foster the confusion to make immigration skeptics, be they shut the border, control the border, or some variation thereof, have a hard time pegging down what they're skeptical of and cost them cheap rhetorical points among the normies. That's where something called a motte-and-bailey forms, and this is where rhetoric gets really fucking sticky and hard to cut through the bullshit of.

TL;DR, "Civic nationalism" didn't really fail so much as globohomo deliberately stopped doing anything to enforce it for their own interests and conned the Western nations using a motte-and-bailey. While in-group preferences do exist, by the same token it's not some be-all-end-all guide to human interaction and enough trend-bucking exists to say trying to guide yourself by it is pretty midwit in the grand scheme of things. Blame Marx, because when can't you, blame Rousseau, because he's Locke if magnitudes more fake and gay, and blame shoddy definition work by a lot of people for dumping a lot of radioactive poison on this topic where none needed to exist.

In the end I think Newsome and by extension the Democrats will lose the re-redistricting war just because the Democrats are really only present in the urban bug hives and there are only so many way you can slice up those cities while the GoP has the rest of the state.

If, big if, all the red states follow Texas's lead and go ahead with their own redistricting bills it looks like it will end up a win for the GoP as they will come out with +5 seats over the Dems.

The biggest issue for the Dems is that most Dem heavy states are, not surprisingly, already very heavily gerrymandered so aside from Commiefornia and maybe Maryland there are not a lot more seats to squeeze out. While the Blue states have considerable room to push out more red districts and add to the GoP totals.

The truth is the Dem's already went ahead in the 90's and did the gerrymander thing so they have very little room left to get more blue blood out of that stone.

I don't know if Trump will try to take it to the Supremes, but he should, just to make New York feel even more humiliated.
  • Be Trump
  • Federalize NY after successful doing it in DC
  • Get rid of the socialist sandnigger that plans to make NY worse.
  • Tell Hochul to get back in the kitchen, bitch!
  • Cherry on top being the well-deserved bitch-slapping of all NY judges that tried to fuck him over
This needs to happen, like, yesterday

Exactly. A threat to do what they've already done isn't really much of a threat. Some kind of 'gerrymander war' can only benefit the Republicans, who have for decades been losing with dignity. Now that that they are finally being dragged into the realization that adhering to gentlemen's agreements is a losing position when you face cheaters that want you dead actually headway can be made.

Its a bit late a dollar short, but hopefully just the beginning. As Teddy said, the best time was then, the second best time is now.

No mention of California’s “if it’s $950 or less it’s free to niggers” shoplifting policy? Missed opportunity, broseph.
That was repealed with some ballot proposition during the election. probably the only sane thing california has done in years.

I really disagree. Coach was an opportunist and self promotor. He chose sides in a conflict that had nothing to do with him. He did not belong running around a war zone. He was not journalist.

If the Ukraines threw him out, he would scream about how it shows their guilt. When they gave him his passport and said "your under house arrest wink wink dont leave wink wink" He tweeted his plans for a daring escape.

So they threw him in prison where he died from not having his fucking heart medication. The fucker did not belong in that country and he shoulda left with his wife and spent time with her and their son.
Coach was also actively working against Ukraine and trying to organize shit like filling locks with toothpicks. He was making himself a threat to Ukraine, no matter how small that threat may have been.

A man shouldn't be surprised when the hole he wouldn't stop digging caves in on him entirely.

I don't think the attitude is really gone per se. If it does, then we do lose the soapbox we have to defend against this and that is extremely useful. But Republicans have properly understood reciprocity, and that's the correct line to pull.

It's not that gerrymandering good, even if it's to fight other gerrymandering.

It's that this is the game they want to play. That's fine. Just don't cry when we play better.

for the record Trump can only control DC because it's not a state. DC has a lot of weird laws because for the longest time it was run as part of the Federal apparatus, it wasn't until the 70's DC got a voted in mayor rather then just an appointed one.

So Trump can exercise a large amount of power over DC because he's head of the Federal government, he can't do that to any other city. Well, at least legally. We are in clown world so I make no bets anymore.
